Trump’s Behavior On D-Day Was A National Disgrace

by Lindsey Weedston about 3 hours ago

Today is the 75th anniversary of the Allied landings at Normandy, commonly referred to as D-Day. Every year, the world marks the occasion with solemn speeches, honoring veterans living and dead, and general seriousness. Enter Donald Trump.
Trump has a tendency to commit faux-pas on the regular that would have ended in a crucifixion if former President Barack Obama had done it, but this D-Day, the current President took things to a whole new level of disgraceful.
First, he delayed the entire ceremony in Normandy because he suddenly needed to sit down with Laura Ingraham of Fox News.
French television cameras spotted President Trump sitting down with Fox’s Laura Ingraham - fourteen minutes *after* the ceremony in Normandy was set to begin. Thousands of people waited as an announcement overhead came on, declaring the program would be delayed until 11:15a.

Remember the tan suit thing? Good times.
So what was so important that Trump needed to delay the entire D-Day ceremony for it? Well, he needed to bash Nancy Pelosi and Robert Mueller, who is, lest we forget, a war veteran.
“Before delivering his speech at the ceremony, Trump lashed out on Fox News at fellow Americans Robert Mueller and Nancy Pelosi, saying the former ‘made a fool out of himself’ and that House Speaker Pelosi ‘is a disaster,’” reports Deadline.
Some have noted that President Emmanuel Macron was also late to the ceremony, but it’s probably safe to say that he wasn’t late because he had to sit down with a news personality and trash a veteran.
This comes a day after Trump upset people with his ill-timed comments about the Vietnam War during his interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
“Well I was never a fan of that war. I’ll be honest with you. I thought it was a terrible war. I thought it was very far away. Nobody ever — you’re talking about Vietnam at that time and nobody ever heard of the country,” Trump rambled. “Now I wasn’t out in the streets marching. I wasn’t saying, you know, I’m going to move to Canada, which a lot of people did. But no, I was not a fan of that war. That war was not something that we should have been involved in.”
He stopped short of admitting that his alleged bone spurs were a fake excuse to get out of serving, but his comments did not sit well with anyone. Senator Tammy Duckworth, a veteran herself, called Trump a coward in no uncertain terms and trashed him on Twitter.
#CadetBoneSpurs: no one cares whether you were a “fan” of the Vietnam War. No one believes you were medically unfit to serve. You used your wealth & privilege to avoid serving your country five times, forcing another American to serve in your place each time. 1/ https://t.co/bSZbQlnWMf

Senator Duckworth is far from alone in her low opinion of the President right now.

I think Trump should be forced to resign for attacking decorated war veteran Robert Mueller and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi while on foreign soil at a D-Day remembrance ceremony at the American cemetery for soldiers in Normandy. But I just work here.

Yup, gonna hang some Steele on his chest.

CHRISTOPHER STEELE 'TO TESTIFY FBI LIED'
Source says 'dossier' author cooperating with DOJ probe

“And what he’s going to prove is the FBI lied in the FISA warrants, and they lied to Congress and they lied to everybody about what they knew about Steele’s behavior.”

DiGenova was referring to the FBI’s use of the dossier as primary evidence to obtain warrants to spy on the Trump administration.

The then-Republican-led House Intelligence Committee produced evidence that the FBI and the Justice Department did not inform the FISA court that the dossier of salacious claims against Trump amounted to political opposition research commissioned and funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

Robert Mueller’s special counsel report debunked major claims in the dossier and could not verify any of it. In fact, when put under oath in court, Steele testified that he could not verify its contents.

Indeed. If you can't, its cause your just as ignorant, dumb, cruel, and narcissistic as the loser with the "spurs" - Twila
During the years of Trump's eligibility (1963 - 1980) there weren't any sensible wars happening anyway!

White House poised to push ahead with fuel-standards rollback, rebuffing automakers and setting up likely legal fight with Calif.

A group of 17 U.S. and foreign automakers wrote to President Trump and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) this week, urging them to resurrect talks in hopes of finding consensus on how fuel efficient cars and trucks must be in coming years.

But White House officials have rebuffed the automakers request, saying there was no prospect of further negotiation with California regulators, according to officials briefed on the discussions. California has vowed to push ahead with its own, stricter fuel standards.

Trump will do anything that might make it easier for the 1% to roll up some profit.
