watched this horrific tragedy live.....there are no words.
Thankfully the treasures were also saved. The blades on the guillotine don't stay sharp after they have that bluish tinge. Two words I have yet to hear, Fire insurance. As in it will cover all the damages and the flock, or the taxpayers, will not need to donate a single dime.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to resign effective May 11

Rosenstein's leaving has long been expected. His nominated successor, deputy transportation secretary Jeffrey Rosen, is awaiting Senate confirmation.

Must be some kind of record for staff turn over at the Trump camp.

Congressman shades Attorney General Barr by bringing bucket of KFC and chicken statue to the hearing Barr skipped

A congressman threw a bit of shade at Attorney General William Barr after the AG decided not to appear at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday. Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tennessee, started eating a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken at 9 a.m. while lawmakers and the press waited to see if Barr would show up on the Hill. Cohen then left the bucket — along with a ceramic chicken — on the table where Barr would have sat.

The attorney general spent more than five hours testifying at a Senate hearing on Wednesday, defending his summary of the Mueller report's findings. Democrats pressed Barr on a letter special counsel Robert Mueller sent him, in which Mueller complained that Barr didn't "fully capture" the substance of his Russia report.

Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-New York, opened Thursday's hearing with a statement about Barr's decision not to show up. Nadler said it was emblematic of a bigger issue within the Trump administration, where officials have declined to appear before congressional committees, and said the president has "prevented us from obtaining information about voting rights, the ACA (Affordable Care Act), and family separations."

Barr was right not to show up it was a set up for a hit job
He did not do himself any favors by not showing up. It is as good as admitting he cannot handle it and /or is guilty ...

at the very least totally unprofessional.........and TRUMPIAN.

If Barr thinks that Trump won't throw him under the bus he is deluded.......as Trump people are disposable.

That's part of the reason our generation was so successful. If the teacher didn't like what you were doing you got strapped, if the old man found out about it, then the teachers strap seemed like a love tap. Performance was mandatory!

I never had "the strap" myself so I'll take your word for it.

If your generation was successful (and that's obviously debatable) it's because you kept electing gubmint that borrowed money to improve your standard of living. Thank you grandkids who will continue paying for your excesses

that kind of physical abusive "punishment" also bred anger and resentment.....and fear. None of which were conducive to learning.

The punishment meted out to us when we were little buggers was VERY conducive to learning and FAST! You just didn't do that shit again OR you did it in a way you weren't caught! Fear was a great teacher!
