Morneau set to table high-stakes election year budget as SNC-Lavalin scandal rages on
Targeting seniors
We have just seen Justin Trudeau’s last federal budget!
And like everything else we’ve seen from Justin Trudeau over the last six weeks, it’s just a part of his government-wide cover-up of the SNC-Lavalin corruption scandal.
His plan could not be more obvious.
It’s a trick right out of Kathleen Wynne’s playbook.
Massive deficits to distract from his corruption before the election.
And massive tax hikes to pay for them after.
Canadians will quite literally be paying for his corruption.
We all know what happened the last time Justin Trudeau made big promises in an election year.
During the televised leader’s debates, he said:
“I am looking straight at Canadians and being honest the way I always have. We said we are committed to balanced budgets, and we are. We will balance the budget in 2019.”
Well, guess what? It’s 2019. And it turns out budget’s don’t balance themselves.
Despite inheriting a budget surplus from us and despite his good fortune with sky-high revenues, the deficit remains.
Nearly $20 billion.
Yes, $20,000,000,000.00 – this year alone! – that will need to be paid back by your children and mine.
I learned from a very young age that you can’t borrow your way out of debt, and you can’t make others pay for your mistakes.
Justin Trudeau clearly never learned these lessons.
I will run the budget the way you run your household; we will live within our means, leave more money in your pocket, and help you get ahead.
Our window of opportunity is right now.
We can avoid the pain that comes with massive, structural deficits – but only if we change course this October.
But again, Justin Trudeau is only piling on this debt because he is desperate to distract Canadians from his corruption in an election year.
He’s trying to distract Canadians with their own money.
I believe Canadians place a higher value on the rule of law, the integrity of their leaders, and the values of our institutions than Justin Trudeau gives them credit for.
He thinks he can interfere in a criminal trial.
Bully his Attorney General.
Fire her when she doesn’t back down.
Silence her from telling the truth.
Shut down a Parliamentary investigation.
And get away with all of it by spraying billions of dollars around on a few desperate election-year promises.
Justin Trudeau has made his choice – a massive government-wide cover-up.
They say the cover-up is worse than the crime – but for Justin Trudeau – no cover-up, no matter how outrageous, can be worse than what he did.
A government and a prime minister this invested in a corruption cover-up cannot be redeemed.
It can only be replaced.
Conservatives stand ready to restore accountable, transparent, and ethical government.
A government that lives within its means.
Leaves you with more in your pocket.
And lets you get ahead!
If you want to help us put an end to Justin Trudeau’s corrupt government, and get Canada back on track, please consider making a donation today!
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Andrew Scheer
I’ll probably end up voting Liberal. I can’t stand Justin but he is the lesser of three evils
Very fiscal conservative of you
The devil you know. Scheer seems like a nut job and all I hear from conservatives is how bad Justin is. No coherent plans.

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced a May byelection in British Columbia to fill a seat vacated by a former New Democrat.
The Prime Minister's Office has set May 6 as the date for the ballot for Nanaimo-Ladysmith.
The riding opened up when former New Democrat member of Parliament Sheila Malcolmson resigned in January to run successfully for the provincial New Democrats.
Malcolmson was one of several NDP MPs who decided not to run again in October's federal election.
The list includes B.C. MP Murray Rankin, Alberta MP Linda Duncan, Ontario MPs Irene Mathyssen and David Christopherson, Quebec's Helene Laverdiere, Romeo Saganash, Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet and Anne Minh-Thu Quach and B.C.'s Fin Donnelly.
Bob Chamberlin, a long-serving chief counsellor of a First Nation based on Gilford Island in the Broughton Archipelago off northeastern Vancouver Island, has said he intends to seek the NDP candidacy in Nanaimo-Ladysmith.

The standard LIE-beral plan involves raking in our tax money like pirates looting a helpless merchant ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
