She just stated on C.B.C. radio that the use of fossil fuels will be winding down after another decade! Will those Volvo and Euclid ore trucks run on a battery? (Ooops I forgot …………...we won't be extracting any more ore!)

It's already winding down.

Maybe you have missed the part about everyone in Alberta being out of a job and needing the government to help them out.

Meanwhile...

US oil and gas firms are ready to spend as confidence grows, survey says

The Oil And Gas Situation: In The U.S., Stable And Strong

The overall rig count continues its slow rise. - The U.S. rig count has risen slowly and steadily throughout 2018, and that trend has continued at the outset of the second half of the year.

What did you say Hoid?? you're voice sounds muffled as usual...

Apparently you missed the part where a booming US oil industry basically destroyed the Canadian one.

That doesn't mean the dependence on fossil fuels is winding down. It means our dependence on local fossil fuels are winding down. We will be dependent on foreign fossil fuel manufacturers.Sunny ways.

Apparently you missed the OP, and you seem to also have missed your own response indicating the use of fossil fuels is winding down.

The (federal) Gov't should just do what Justin promised it would do back in 2015. I'm beginning to think he's just as big of a liar as his old man was, actually more so.

ROFLMFAO. You do come up with some whoppers. THe Canadian oil industry is being hamstrung by a lack of export facilities.FUnny we have no shortage of import facilities. And why is there no carbon tax on imported oil? Aside from the fact that the liberals are trying to destroy oil producing provinces.

Oil ain't going anywhere and if we limit use to 80,000,000 bbls a day instead of 100,000,000 bbl a day it's harmless to the environment.

The Paris Agreement concurs.

Climate change deniers think oil is harmless to the environment.

Because they have to

Hoid is just a little dog with a big bark. He doesn't even believe half of the nonsense he himself posts. He just relishes the role of contrarian. It's his only means to garner attention. If he actually dropped the mini-skirt, and came down from the bleachers and into the Ring, and engaged in coherent debate, he'd fall flat on his face.
