Harper has benefited me by more than $2000. ++ a year with pension income splitting with my wife....

If the important pieces are voted on through a referendum then that method should be made easier to use so it can become the norm. Nobody seems to like that idea as it kill the lobby industry which never should have been allowed to start in the first place. Nobody is interested in fixing it past getting more for themselves, as DS pointed out, and the lesser races can fight over the crumbs.

Apparently the answer is 31.
Newly released government documents show that 31 is the number of people it took to approve a tweet from Environment Minister Catherine McKenna that was in such bad taste it was quickly deleted.
(Our idiot Boy Justin Has told us he never reads newspapers and relies on others to tell him when something important happens- apparently this habit of not paying any attention runs deep in the ENTIRE LIE-beral party!)
On November 7, 2017 the official government Twitter account of McKenna put out a tweet that praised the Syrian regime of Bashar Al-Assad.
(I have noted before the affection that the ENTIRE TRUDEAU Clan lavishes on various Soviet dictators- and apparently since Assad relies entirely on Russian aid to survive- that makes him close enough to being a Soviet style dictator to be worthy of Cdn LIE-beral support!)
“Canada Salutes Nicaragua and Syria for joining on to the Paris Agreement!” the tweet read. It also included the flags of both countries.
(Isnt that wonderful? That Climate Barbie is so clueless that she would PRAISE a vicious dictator for signing on to her useless Paris Accord! LIE-berals are so obsessed with idiot virtue signalling that they have FORGOTTEN that NOBODY- especially not Canada- are getting even near to cutting greenhouse gas emissions!)
Praising the murderous Assad regime in Syria which has used chemical weapons on its own people is beyond tone deaf. And yet 31 staff members on the political and bureaucratic side looked at this tweet and approved it.
(Shall we point out that dirty birds of a feather FLOCK together so why would those LIE-berals understand the problem? After all, our civil service has already demonstrated a marked preference for Muslim Terrorists over Israeli soldiers fighting for their democracy! Cdn civil service union Hogs think their gross conflict of interest- which should be earning them JAIL TIME- in voting LIE-beral in exchange for EXTRA gravy constitutes DEMOCRACY!!!!!!)
(In a TRUE DEMOCRACY our Hogs would be FORBIDDEN to vote directly for their political masters! We can be CERTAIN that if a corporate CEO offered his employees a pay raise in exchange for voting Conservative the LIE-beral and NDP screams of outrage and calls for JAIL TIME would be DEAFENING!)
Before the tweet was ridiculed for praising a brutal dictator for agreeing to meet climate targets, only two red flags were raised by bureaucrats and it had to do with grammar.
One was on whether the term ratifying should be used or ratified. Another was worried about the French translation.
Seems an executive assistant to the Director General at Environment Canada was worried that the incorrect verb tense was being used in the French version of the tweet.
Let that sink in.
A ministerial tweet was seen and signed off on by 31 bureaucrats and political staffers and the only questions raised were about the the tense used for certain words and not the very idea of praising a murderous and dictatorial regime.
These people don’t live in the real world.
(If only these LIE-berals were truly and obviously drooling idiots, it would be relatively easy to dismiss them- the problem is the idiots are clever enough to BRIBE AND LIE their way into a position where they may soon be able to legally ORDER each of us to JOIN their delusion- or ELSE!
As the negative response mounted on Twitter the minister’s office realized their mistake and deleted the tweet. Then they started monitoring and documenting the responses.
Of particular concern were tweets that insulted McKenna including those referring to her as “Climate Barbie.”
Too bad they didn’t put in as much thought to the original tweet as they did to the post-mortem and concern about insults.
Despite 31 different people being on emails about this tweet, when it was deleted, some officials seem oblivious as to where it originated.
Turns out it was requested as part of a social media plan.
(Oh yes- LIE-berals follow the old saying that success has many fathers but failure is an ORPHAN!)
That’s right, not some spur of the moment tweet originating from a bad idea. This was carefully planned. Scheduled alongside other tweets promoting the department’s agenda.
Yet the minister claimed at the time that this was an accident, it was portrayed that way in much of the media.
(LIE-berals have a LONG HISTORY of making deliberate policy choices that are later referred to as “honest mistakes”! As I have noted before- socialists believe they are NEVER WRONG! Any mistake they make is always in response to outside pressures! In those few, rare cases where they find it hard to blame stress generated by enemies- they swiftly fall back on the “mea culpa” CRAP- whining that nobody is perfect and everybody “mis- speaks” sometimes! And thus they should be EXCUSED from condemnation for uttering deliberate stupidity!)
(The problem is that LIE-berals “mis-speak” in so many ways and so very frequently that we can see through the evasions to their Truly Poisoned values!)
“Clearly a mistake was made from my Dept twitter,” McKenna said on Twitter in response to Conservative MP Lisa Raitt.
Raitt had replied to McKenna with a link to a U.S. State Department report of Syria’s use of chemical weapons.

This was anything but a mistake.
When Raitt submitted an official query through Parliament to ask for information on who approved the tweet. She was blocked.
(Blocked? That is STANDARD LIE-beral policy! If they admit nothing then it NEVER HAPPENED! At least not in their highly selective memories!)
Now that the information is in the public via access to information, Raitt is wondering why the lies, why the disrespect for taxpayers.
“The Minister stated, ‘clearly this was an accident’ as if she had spilled a glass of water,” Raitt said. “This was a cover up to protect herself and in that process she tried to put 100% of the blame on her department.”
(LIE-berals view ordinary Cdns like little birds in a nest- we have all seen the images- the wide open mouths, greedy and desperate for feeding! WE are merely “consumers” to be milked dry! Too bad LIE-berals do NOT feel the maternal warmth for us that birds do for offspring! To LIE-berals we are TOOLS to be tolerated- IF we vote “properly” at election time- and most of us vote WRONG in LIE-beral eyes!)
The blame goes all the way up to the minister’s office which gave final approval after dozens of other bureaucrats had worked on it.
Current and former communications staffers that have worked under Conservatives and Liberals scoffed at the idea it takes 31 people to approve a tweet.
That it took that many and they still got it so wrong is even worse.
While a tweet may seem minor, having a minister in the government praise a regime that gasses and kills its own people is never minor.
(Again- we should recall clearly the vile Trudeau/ LIE-beral values! Pierre Trudeau PRAISED Chinese Chairman Mao “for his genius in rushing 30 million Chinese to the gallows during The Great Leap Forward”! And Our idiot Boy has told us “he likes the way the Chinese govt gets things done”!)
Apparently at Environment Canada, signing onto a climate change agreement trumps everything, including mass murder.
