It USED to be interesting , but now it is just distasteful and ugly. the bar is so low that there is no bar anymore. It is jungle tribalism now.

Uh, huh.............yet here we are commenting day after day on every little bit of minutiae we can dredge up. Nope - no interest there.

Well...... I am kinda viewing all this as a sociological (and psychological ) study. I also like tos ee what others thin about the way things are changing. Politics are seldom a classy sport.......but the level of ugliness that is being reached is actually fascinating to observe from a cultural point of view too. The fact it is all changing so quickly makes it very dynamic. dynamic.

The rivers of liberal tears have crested.
The GOP is enjoying the support of women from all over.
Here's where we may just find out what percentage of women have been sexually attacked/molested and I'm betting that it will be a real surprise.

Yesterday, I asked my wife if she had ever been sexually attacked. I have have never asked that before as it is her business and she would have told me previously if she felt that needed to know. I was surprised when she said "yes", then she told he the story. She got away fairly unscathed but just barely. It happened down in the States, btw (surprise, surprise) over 35 years ago and she never told me or the "law" so I guess that it couldn't have happened, after all ... because molested women always tell all to everybody right after they pull their panties back up. Everybody knows that. The glorious leaders of hitherto most powerful nation on Earth all believe that and anyone who says differently is part of a liberal conspiracy.

Right, Eagle Snack?

Drain What Swamp?

“At the heart of President Trump’s political movement is this paradox: A wealthy reality television star who lived in a gold-encrusted Manhattan penthouse was able to gather a dedicated following of the less privileged and launch a war against his own social class,” the Washington Post reports.

“Brett Kavanaugh — who has lived most of his life in the Washington area, attended elite schools and worked in George W. Bush’s administration — was exactly the type of ‘political elite’ whose swamp Trump and those supporters once said they wanted to drain.”

“Yet Trump and his rally crowds are now firmly behind Kavanaugh, to the point where audiences sometimes chant “Kav-a-naugh” in addition to “Drain the swamp,” two ideas that would seem to be in forceful opposition to one another.”

...SNIP"
Probably somewhat true . However any judge with the experience to assume that role would probably be in the same situation.

MSNBC’s Michelle Goldberg explains why GOP’s blame game shows they have ‘a guilty conscience’ on Kavanaugh

.....

Goldberg then pointed out that there’s “an abuser’s logic” to the defenses of Kavanaugh by Republicans like Collins who supported him and claimed that they did so partly because they were confronted by angry protestors.

“They keep acting like, ‘oh it was protestors,’ or ‘it was incivility,’ or ‘it was Michael Avenatti,’ that made Jeff Flake or Susan Collins vote for this nominee,” she said. “They were always going to vote for this nominee. They were determined to vote for this nominee.”

Collins “wanted any excuse to get to yes,” Goldberg said.

“The very fact that they’re blaming Democrats suggests to me an element of guilty conscience—you don’t blame other people for making you do something if you think that it was a blameless thing for you to do,” she said.

Sorry to hear, but here's the rub.
Ask your wife if she remembers the details, the date, time, place, the weather, etc.,

and then you should realize Ford was lying about something.
Women don't forget the details of it.

That is intrusive and unfair. Not a nice way to prove your point.

I wasn't asking you to publish them here.

I wasn't even asking for her to tell you.

All it is is asking if SHE remembers.

Oh wait, oh wait, I see, you are now suffering the "I don't want to know what women remember" blindfold.

Carry on.

In my work I have met women who have been assaulted, raped etc and otherwise abused. I have heard their information first hand. I have a pretty good idea of how the memory works after a traumatic event, and long term effects. 'Just sayin.

People have varied memory strengths. Some people can remember the date and the weather. Some people are elephants for long term memories. Episodic memories are strong in some people, not in others. You can't say. Awfully nervy of you to imply you had some kind of knowledge when even the science on it is new.
