White House says Trump disagrees with Putin's request to interview former U.S. ambassador and other Americans

The White House has been under intense criticism after press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday declined to rule out the Kremlins request to question former U.S. ambassador to Moscow Michael McFaul and other Americans who have been critical of Russian President Vladimir Putin's regime.

On Thursday, Sanders said President Trump does not agree with Putin's proposal.

It is a proposal that was made in sincerity by President Putin, but President Trump disagrees with it," she said in a statement. "Hopefully President Putin will have the 12 identified Russians come to the United States to prove their innocence or guilt.

Really? Trump won't release them to the Russians for interrogation? Maybe, if they were journalists ...

In a tweet Thursday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said discussions are underway.

Sanders said Trump agreed to a "working level" dialogue between security council staff.

"President Trump asked @AmbJohnBolton to invite President Putin to Washington in the fall and those discussions are already underway," Sanders tweeted.

Since all politics are cyclical and at some point the Democrats will be in control again... will they bring Putin another reset button? Will the next President get caught on a hot mic ensuring a Putin lackey to be patient because he or she will have a little more "flexibility" after election.

I've never seen the Democrats so aching for a conflict.

Trump figures that this "free press" thing is putting America in a dangerous spot with Rusdia.

It's more likely that Russia is putting Trump into a dangerous spot with America. Maybe, Trump will declare some sort of a national emergency and have all of his "fake news" boogymen arrested to prevent trouble with Russia.

Putin would approve.

Maybe, the Internet will go down for a while during the coming "big scoop"?

Complete failure to answer the question.

Not that I expected better, mind.

Whatever there probably wasn't a right answer you wouldn't have accepted anyway. all I know if the DNC wouldn't have rigged the election for IT"S MY TURN in 2016 you might have a Gov. that is equivalent to our NDP

I asked you to name a single major Democratic figure who wasn't to the right of your PCs. You didn't. Instead you started babbling about your health-care system, which even with the changes the PCs want to make, would still be considerably to the left of Obamacare.

So you like to move goal posts do you here is your quote

It might arguably fit one rogue candidate in New York. I challenge you to name one single significant political, economic, or social issue where the Democrats are more "left" than your PCs.

You're right. I didn't read back, and I misremembered my own question.

For that, you have due apology.

Now, would you care to explain how even the PC's desired health-care plan is not more "socialist" than Obamacare at its height, before the MAGA administration started dismantling it?

If I'm not mistaken, most if not all Eu states, Singapore, and I believe Hong Kong too and I'm sure probably many other states allow two-tiered healthcare. Some of the best health care systems in the world are two-tiered. Even Canada's is two-tiered to a degree albeit far less so and Canada's doesn't rank among the better ones which all tend to be much more open to the private sector.

Why stick to ideology when the facts speak for themselves that two-tiered works better than a one-tiered system?

Well, at it's height it left approximately 5-8% of the population uncovered (that's 16-25 million people) and, as I said, produced outcomes no better than the OECD average. And now it's coming apart because the MAGA policy of "repeal and replace" did neither, but simply kicked the financial underpinnings out from under the system.

Don't get me wrong, I never liked Obamacare. But one of the reasons I didn't like it was the shortcomings above.

We should have done health care on a state-by-state basis.

It all seems to go back to what Putin has on Trump. NO girlie tape would offend Trump He would be flattered by it and twist it to his benefit.-his prowess.......or just LIE.

ItHAS to be MNEY...... and given that he has been dealing with Russia for many many years and Russia has "helped" hi;m out financially when others would not.......Trump is in debt to Putin . The most important thing to Trump is NOT being POTUS........it is being a TYCOON. WEALTHY........however gained is HIS whole identity. He brags about his possessions , properties as if they were his "family". Wealth is power to him........and get tingthe POTUS job just added to his power hungry mentality.

Trump OWES PUTIN.........for financial help........AND now he OWES Putin for helping get Trump elected. Trump has sold his soul to the devil........so to speak.......... and cannot afford to offend Putin........let alone assert himself No matter the bufoonery.....Trump KNOWS he is in debt to Putin. That would explain the very private meeting. They have a lot of business to discuss. I would bet Put made things very clear to Trump as to who was in control ..Trump can now say whatever he wants......and no one can argue ......as there are no witnesses except the translators Putin KNOWS all of Trump's weaknesses. (character ones........ and can pull the stings as he sees fit)
