Pretty much every week there is a shooting in SUrrey, mostly with a handgun and handguns have been restricted in Canada since the 1930swith automatics being prohibited so more gun laws obviously isn't the answer.

Why have there been 15 of these school shootings in Texas and Florida.

And none in New York or New Jersey?

I would note that "our" (i.e., Canada's) system doesn't really have a huge mass shooting problem.

I would further not that "our" (i.e., the U.S.'s) system has very long, harsh penalties for shooters.

And innocent people have all the rights guilty people have, and more. But feel free to whimper about how hard-done-by you are. Fact is if Canada had draconian lock-'em-up-for-good policies, you'd be whimpering about the tax bill for prisons.
