Would anyone here volunteer to "walk a mile in his shoes"?

Not unless they were confirmed dirtbags.

I did. EagleSmack did. Curious Canadian did. Gopher did.

Yeah, we stood up, joined up, raised our right hands, and volunteered to walk a mile in John McCain's shoes.

Fortunately, that portion did not come to us.

Does it make you uncomfortable that you hate three of the four who showed the character of John McCain?

A Mouse Once Bit My Sister
Perfect excuse for a party complete with mock corpse to urinate on.

DB, please take these words of advice and give some thought to the possible merits therein.

There are few things worse than not having taken the time and initiative to reach out to those in your life before they pass and it's too late.

My words to you are to have the party when they are alive and urinate on them then... When they're gone, sadly, it's too late

Wipe the drool off your chin.

What's your problem?

I did. EagleSmack did. Curious Canadian did. Gopher did.

I don't recall expressing any disrespect for either John McCain or any of the endeavours of those who supported him. Maybe you are drinking too early in the day!

I don't think that I could stand up long under torture, so I am not going to bad-mouth McCain for doing so.

But he was in fact a "Song Bird" for the Vietnamese.
----

The story reported that McCain collaborated in psywar offensives aimed at American servicemen. "The broadcast was beamed to American servicemen in South Vietnam as a part of a propaganda series attempting to counter charges by U.S. Defense Secretary Melvin Laird that American prisoners are being mistreated in North Vietnam."

On one occasion, General Vo Nguyen Giap, the top Vietnamese commander and a nationalist celebrity of the time, personally interviewed McCain. His compliance during this command performance was a moment of affirmation for the Vietnamese. His Vietnamese handlers thereafter used him regularly as prop at meetings with foreign delegations.

In the custody of enemy psywar specialists, McCain became what he is today: a professional psywar stooge.

It is impossible to prove exactly what happened to McCain short of traveling to Vietnam and tracking down his captors, and picking up thee trail where it begins. According to The Vietnam Veterans Against John McCain, McCain says he only collaborated when he brutally tortured by his Vietnamese captors and a wicked Cuban he referred to as Fidel. (8)

He says his confession led him to a suicide attempt.

“In the anguished days right after my confession,” McCain said in his autobiography Faith of My Fathers, “I had dreaded just such a discovery by my father.”

But as McCain discovered, dear old dad did know.

“I only recently learned that the tape I dreamed I heard playing over the loudspeaker in my cell had been real; it had been broadcast outside the prison and had come to the attention of my father,” McCain said. “If I had known at the time my father had heard about my confession, I would have been distressed beyond imagination, and might not have recovered from the experience as quickly as I did.”
----
All of the prisoners acknowledged that everyone had a breaking point. Mr. McCain’s came 10 months after he arrived. With his father taking command of the Pacific Fleet, the North Vietnamese were determined to coerce the son into denouncing the war. For four days they tied him with ropes, beat him every few hours, re-broke his arm, and left him in a pool of his own blood and refuse. Finally, he signed and tape-recorded a war crimes confession.

Every Nazi did as well, every Roman centurion, every red coated British genocidal maniac. There is no end to cannon fodder. else we would have starved to death long ago, maybe. Hate,s the poor stupid desperate resort of the prisoner. I don,t think there exists a law about hating unifromed Americans who,s exploits the world cannot ever forget. The world catches up with the proud without fail.

I was in uniform once but I was expelled for chewing gum in contravention of standing articles. My parents were devastated when the Boy Scouts courtmartialed me. When you travel several thousand miles to defend your country against alleged enemies of your state the idea that suspicions could be raised shouldn,t cloud your mind. But it must of course or how the hell else do you find yourself there in that strange land. Hiroshima made America great not your gaudy uniform. tick tick tick tick tick tick

I wonder if it realy has rubber walls.

You are suggesting that my time in Canada and my input in this great nation is of lesser value than yours. I beg to difffer. You were honoured by uniform that I paid for to take the bullet instead of me who would have been the greater loss to national security and the general well being of Canadian citizens. And we pay for the parrades as well celebrating the piles of you we have ammassed over the years. I might be able to have you called up.

Much to the delight of our MAGAheads.

It is disrespectful behavior and attitude of the staffer .......even for them. There is no tactless, ruthless, cruel low that they won't descend to in order t o maintain power. (and demonstrate how truly disrespectful they are. as stated before:
it is the trickle effect from the top. and goes to the character of the "organization"

Seems the McCain family is handling the nasty leak very diplomatically, .

God thing that McCain made sure he STATED firmly that he does NOT want Trump etal at his funeral..........when it happens. an dd NO that is not being spiteful......... as why would anyone want the likes of Trump tarnish sucha personal , sad and private event??

Dealing with brain cancer is one of the worst cancers..........Where is the humanity in the Trumpian world ?

BTW: Like your term : MAGAheads. Good one.;-)
