Hi! Twin Moose

Make no mistake ..... when the war breaks out for real .... I truly and sincerely hope that the West Wins because I live in the West.

I worry about the conflict because my whole and complete lifestyle will change, if I survive. I live 3 and a half hour drive from Toronto and about 100 miles from the largest petro chemical plants in Canada. Both will be struck by nuclear weapons if/when they are launched.

I was hoping to be able to sit back and enjoy my retirement after years of smelling armpits on the subway.

A complete one with hundreds/thousands of detonations will leave a planetary environment that we probably cannot survive in.

Hi! Curious Cdn

I don't think there is any such thing as a "Limited" nuclear war.

Everybody has to pump as many missiles into the sky as possible in order to overwhelm missile defense systems. You gotta blow what yuh got very quickly or the enemy will destroy them before use.

Me thinks you worry too much, which is fine, but I think if it ever happens our biggest concern would be intercepted missile debris over our great country

Israel is the Glob base of Glob operations, an wholely designed and themselves owned subsidiary of Glob international. Recall the Reformation, it hasn,t been the same since. Old London they say, home of Imperialism in partership with the Universal Church all directed from a cave in thier Alpine fortress. Even Hitler didn,t dare. Neutral, imagine, no Hitler you may not invade. Like he even thought about it. Those Alpine caves will most likely be avoided when Jebus comes back even. It would damage the Global economy. War is the fukkin economy of this planet. I believe that may be an evolutionary mistake. The wheel was wasted on us. I have a feeling that Globs once upon a time up and coming bright student of war has been used up. How nice and lucky it,s been for us North Americans that we have for sometime now avoided a continental war. Uncle Sam never helped anyone for free, they can,t even help themselves. Canadas going to want some warm states.

We will be compelled to migrate by climate change and we will have to get to 25-30 degrees to plant, harvest, eat, etc, etc, breed.

Hi! Twin Moose

I am not losing any sleep over the situation.

Maybe you are a sports fan, and then would understand that I know nothing at all about sports. I have no interest in sports at all.

However; I follow "International" news events as a sports fan follows the teams. I know all the players, all the statistics and all the history.

I don't really know much about Canadian politics. I follow Aboriginal and Justice issues rather closely because I view events in an historical sense. I don't even think that I could name you my Provincial member of the legislature. I do know that my Federal member is a Conservative because I use the calendar he sends me every year. Also; last federal election I was the only guy on the street with an NDP sign in his front yard.

No bodies going to use nukes, relax, although if the potential targets were soon to be frozen over with a mile of ice, would it matter anytime soon? You live in the west? No you don,t you live on an electricly powered ball in space called Hades.

So, if Kim Jung Un launches one or two and they detonate, all the dominos fall and mammalian life comes to an end? I don't think so.

Hi! Hoid

I totally agree with your concerns about the amount of dead bodies in Syria. Totally.

However; it was America who instigated and financed the original uprising in March 2011. It had been planned years before. I posted a defense department strategy paper detailing this.

Syria: Scenarios of Dramatic Political Change
"Although we judge that fear of reprisals and organizational problems make a second Sunni challenge unlikely, an excessive government reaction to minor outbreaks of Sunni dissidence might trigger large-scale unrest. In most instances the regime would have the resources to crush a Sunni opposition movement, but we believe widespread violence among the populace could stimulate large numbers of Sunni officers and conscripts to desert or munity, setting the stage for civil war." [pg.2]
"Sunnis make up 60 percent of the Syrian officer corps but are concentrated in junior officer ranks; enlisted men are predominantly Sunni conscripts. We believe that a renewal of communal violence between Alawis and Sunnis could inspire Sunnis in the military to turn against the regime." [pg.12]
"Although the Muslim Brotherhood’s suppression drastically reduced armed dissidence, we judge a significant potential still exists for another Sunni opposition movement. In part the Brotherhood’s role was to exploit and orchestrate opposition activity by other organized groups… These groups still exist, and under proper leadership they could coalesce into a large movement… …young professionals who formed the base of support for the militant faction of the Muslim Brotherhood; and remnants of the Brotherhood itself who could become leaders in a new Sunni opposition movement…" [pp.13-14]
"Mistaking the new protests as a resurgence of the Muslim Brotherhood, the government would step up its use of force and launch violent attacks on a broad spectrum of Sunni community leaders as well as on those engaged in protests. Regime efforts to restore order would founder if government violence against protestors inspired broad-based communal violence between Alawis and Sunnis." [pp.19-20]
"A general campaign of Alawi violence against Sunnis might push even moderate Sunnis to join the opposition. Remnants of the Muslim Brotherhood–some returning from exile in Iraq–could provide a core of leadership for the movement. Although the regime has the resources to crush such a venture, we believe brutal attacks on Sunni civilians might prompt large numbers of Sunni officers and conscripts to desert or stage mutinies in support of dissidents, and Iraq might supply them with sufficient weapons to launch a civil war." [pp.20-21]
"In our view, US interests would be best served by a Sunni regime controlled by business-oriented moderates. Business moderates would see a strong need for Western aid and investment to build Syria’s private economy, thus opening the way for stronger ties to Western governments." [pg. 24]

Look at what America did with "Unarmed" protesters in Ferguson and with the Occupy Wall Street protesters. Lots of wounded protesters. Lots of protesters gassed.

In Canada, we shot dead an Aboriginal who was protesting a gulf course in Quebec.

As they say .... Assad is not a "Russia's Guy" ...... He was an "American Guy" and operated a Black Site for America and where the CIA tortured people. He was educated in Britain. Canada had to compensate a citizen who was tortured in a Syrian prison.

You gotta admire the Russians. They are not "Screaming Threats" like North Korea did. They continue to look pretty reasonable on the International stage.

Israel must insist on America bombing the neighbourhood while America is still solvent. After the financial collapse there is no way that the American voter will agree to finance wars and weapons for Israel.

The more Israel instigates ..... means the closer North America is to economic collapse.

My own opinion is that there will never be peace and prosperity in Syria with Assad in charge.

He is a problem.

Hi! Hoid

I think you are wrong there. If anything, he has become stronger since March 2011. He is seen as the "Country Saviour". Syria was doing pretty good as a country before March 2011. They had more social programs than North America had.

And ..... there is nobody strong enough or respected well enough to take his place. Maybe America would like to promote a leader like they did in Russia and support some Drunken Clown like Yeltsin and who gave all the state owned oil/gas richness to Jewish Oligarchs?

And who (in the short term) would want to be leader of Syria now after the total destruction of the infrastructure? Is America prepared to pay for the reconstruction or just pretend to as they did in Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya?

I just read a pretty good quote by Jeremy Corbyn in Britain ....

"Does it now mean countries could bomb Saudi airfields since they are using banned cluster bombs & white phosphorous in Yemen?"

A quite hilarious video
https://twitter.com/IntheNow_tweet/status/986323069336735745

In Iraq it took inspectors months just to inspect, dismantle and clear a single chemical weapon site. But in Syria they just bombed them which means they knew that none was there.

I personally think that this most recent attack in Syria is the same type of moment in history as when the famous photo of a Vietnamese kid running down the road scarred from napalm appeared in TV Land. In my lifetime, I have never witnessed such an utter disrespect towards democratic leaders in the West. This talk ..... this route towards a possible nuclear war scenario is just as potent to the general public as the Napalm photo was and which was the beginning of the end of the Vietnam War.

So they used up a bunch of outdated ordinance to give the impression that they were serious, but seriously, who thinks they are actually serious? Putin told them, "wave your dick if you have to but you harm any of my people and there will be hell to pay" and Trump waved his dick.

Earlier I mentioned that Israel was quite jittery about Iran retaliating for killing a General and about a dozen soldiers when Israel attacked an Iranian military base inside Syria about 2 weeks ago.

Rumour is they may even be too afraid to even turn up (today) to celebrate the anniversary date of when Israel became a state. There is rumour that they are so certain of an impending Iranian strike that both the president and prime minister will not be attending the ceremony for the first time in history.

They have only themselves to blame. I know a few on here will get upset by this (tough shit!), but "Karma is a bitch, especially if you are one."

Ummm...Ok...is that your final answer?

Say, they say NK is coming to the bargaining table....imagine that...

( Remember when Obama accused them of hacking Sony, TRIED to start a WAR over it, and then it turned out to be an ex SONY employee? LOL, then later HE was overseeing the ILLEGAL spying on trump before and during the election, AND Hitlary's illegal bathroom SPY server)

What?...oh yes...russians!!!

Because of of the armament factories here in my town, it's is KNOWN to be on EVERY nuclear bombing list.

There are around a hundred and twenty nuclear power plants in North America, all getting old.

Two weeks without power to cool them and there will be no more north america...NO one even needs to drop any bombs. ( just look at fukyoushima.) All they need to do, as we have seen is the past, is to drop a couple of tree branches on some power lines in OHIO.
