Crops have been taking a pounding from colder than normal but if you ignore them, it didn't happen.

Did you know 2017 was the 3rd "hottest" year since records began 120 years ago.

The average temperature of earth is 0.9C. Damn that's hot. We're all gonna die..

from frost bite.

Like I've said before everyone should just concentrate on keeping THEIR area neat and tidy and pollution free and in due course the climate (weather) will compensate by itself. Leave the changes to Mother Nature!

Yes it is not like we haven’t been improving our pollution standards and cleaning up past messes for the last half century . I like to use False Creek as a prime example . But it is never nor can it ever be enough for the green weavers .

Granville Island was a far different animal prior to it being developed.

i still love going to visit that place when I'm in town, they did a fantastic job of it
Yes EXPO 86 changed that area for the better . When I was young False Creek was a dead zone , now you see seals feeding on the bait fish in that cleaned up area . Now if we could only get the green weavers inVictoria to pay for sewage treatment we might be getting somewhere . But you know these socialists they are always better at spending other people’s money then their own .

No doubt, the work done was fantastic, not only from an environmental perspective but also from a functionality perspective.

In fact, all up and down False Creek (especially on the South side) is just such a major success... Too bad that this ideal wasn't applied wholesale across the board

So it is safe to say that not only does the Trudeau government not care about so called climate change, they do not care about pollution either.

That's a safe statement, as the Feds (under tater tot) gave the A-OK for Montreal to dump millions of liters of raw sewage into the St Lawrence.

It was a far more convenient solution to constructing proper facilities.

Oysters don't vote.

But seriously... dumping raw sewerage into the St. Lawrence... JT is an idiot.

How can we claim to be fighting climate change when we continue to encourage people to jump on airplanes and cruise ships as tourists? Go Cop-A-Boo at the Toronto Airport and see the carbon footprint.

I could run my car for the next 100 thousand years down the Don Valley Parkway and exhaust less carbon than what a passenger plane or cruse ship spews out.

And, the military is not part of any calculation or consideration when talking about Climate Change. The military is completely excluded. Imagine how large a carbon foot print is for a Hercules Aircraft or an F-35 Jet?

I think Climate change is real ..... but all the taxes and penalties is just an excuse used by the Ruling Class to train us into accepting a lower lifestyle as the economy continues to collapse.

I liked Granville Island far better when it was an industrial site. Much nicer than thousands of tourists.

Imagine the carbon footprint of 1500 rich greenies flying their private jets to Switzerland to have a Globull warming party.

We could do that as well if we had drill rigs in Georgia Straight loading directly onto tankers.

Hi! TaxSlave

Exactly.

Although Climate Change may very well be true and that it is man made, I think the methods being used to combat against it are totally insincere.

climate has always been changing and I expect it always will. Sending our money to third world countries will not fix anything. The money will mostly get siphoned off and third world countries will still be third word countries with the only difference being we will be out billions and have our economy destroyed.

Norway has a huge and hungry market right nearby for her petroleum. Europe doesn't produce much of it (although Russia does) and they can get a premium price for it. Right at the moment, North America is awash in oil. It would be worth more in the long run if we just left it in the ground for the next generation when other sources are depleted and maybe then we might ask top dollar for the stuff. If we slapped a tariff like that on it, we wouldn't shift a barrel of the stuff, most likely.

There is no human induced climate change or global warming or whatever marketing term the truther crowd decides to morph into

Ain't that the crux of it though.
