You really think her constituents wish her to be a drunken bum that breaks the law?

It was criminal as in going against a court order but not a felony.

Yep, probably comes under the heading of ........."disobedient brat"............

Let's not forget that May was also a big supporter of Omar Khadar.

She's a loser thru and thru

What a bitch! She is totally clueless. I hope they throw away the key!

She claims that the pipeline is a crime against the future; of course that's total nonsense. But then she's totally out to lunch anyway.

Y'all went to the dark side. Civil disobedience is a right in Canada still, unless y'all forgot. You guys really hate anybody who exercises the rights and freedoms eh. Bunch of fascists.

"Greens" can be like that! I bet her jail time was probably less than 5 minutes. :)

Contempt of court is not civil disobedience .

There is no such thing as tax payers money. Once you pay your taxes it is no longer your money.
This battle has just begun. It is the companies that are wasting money on a project that will never be finished.

Let's not split hairs. Who do you think the money belongs to that they are going to use to replace it?

I don't see a problem with such an act of civil disobedience. For comparison the numerous protests against segregation in the US were all illegal, as were Gandhi's protests in India and most of the antiwar protests around the world in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. May is playing to the people who elected her. They would expect her to be there.

Elizabeth Greenadona . Her NDP partner is the same .

She is still a citizen of the United States , I believe . No criminal charges , how utterly convenient .

She was still arrested for breaking a restraining order.

That's enough to get pegged for potentially doing the same in the US by Homeland Security to be blacklisted entry.

I don't thinks she a yank and it's not her first rodeo. She has a history. Back in the 80s she had a run in with some nasty dudes when doing an environmental assessment on a joint coal power plant and a coal gasification venture between Saskatchewan and North Dakota.

IMF thugs scared her so bad she ran and hid in Alaska for 4 years.

That kinda shit gets remembered.

The Crown. Tax is extortion that ends up in the Bank of London.

Good Lord Cliff, get help.

You really think her constituents wish her to be a drunken bum that breaks the law?

I bet she flew by sea plane with party funds. She is too good to sit on two ferries with peasants for 3 hours

Of course she did, just like Gore and Suzuki, they are fighting the good fight and absolutely need, and without question, can not accomplish their Gaia saving goals without private jets, multiple homes and big 12-cyl diesel buses.

One thing I will say about Elizabeth May is that she is exceptionally smart and intelligent.

I have never met her in person, but I did spend hours and hours in telephone conversations with her (1990's) when I was chairman of a safety and health committee investigating pesticide poisonings in Ontario.

"Felony" is a legal term used more widely in the U.S. I think. In general terms I think it means serious crime as opposed to jay walking or late filing of income tax.

Actually, I think Suzuki has knocked it off. Was watching a program of his a few months back (about the Ring of Fire) and in that program he clearly stated he has doubts about humans being the primary driver of climate change.

May is a real dumbo, if she was smart she would be making a real positive contribution to Canadian society, but she is not, she is just stupid shit disturber and a nay sayer.

As for you, your not the brightest light in the ceiling either, so your view of May is not surprising .

THAT, being the case you can bet your bottom dollar (or first born) that they're not!

Well, I've heard that before (that she's supposed to be smart and intelligent) and if that is true, then she's isn't contributing at all the to betterment of her constituency. So, not unlike many other "smart and intelligent" people, I prefer that she remain in jail for awhile and that she ends up having a "record". Then that "smart and intelligent" woman won't be able to travel to other countries to show how "smart and intelligent" she really is although that would mean we'd be stuck with her LOL
