Trump to plunge Middle East into 'fire with no end' with Jerusalem speech

Congress voted for it in 1995.
The Senate upheld the law in June this year, unanimous vote, both sides.
He is doing what he said he would during the campaign.
Shocking, isn't it ? The guy is fulfilling his campaign promises.

And the UN doesn't support ANYTHING that would benefit Israel.

in your single post:

Trump is an isolationist. This is bad
Trump is stirring the pot. This is bad.

The real question is, what is YOUR master plan, except to just fling feces around ?
this is a situation where BIAS has no place IF the issues are to be resolved. Nor can one take sides. Trump has sided up with Israel and now the US cannot be any kind of honest broker for peace. Mind you the so called peace talks were goingno where. Don't think the parties are motivated for true peace. There is too much resentment on both sides. The religious componant just inflames the situation and becomes emotional. where all objectivity is lost.

You understand that justlooking was nice enough to tell you that Trump did not arbitrarily decide to declare Jerusalem the capitol of Israel, right? This was decided when Clinton was president.

excerpt from the Washington Post article below:

Ten days before he was assassinated in Tel Aviv, Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin gave a speech in Washington about the city of Jerusalem.

“Jerusalem is the heart of the Jewish people and a deep source of our pride,” Rabin said at an event recognizing the 3,000th year of the city’s existence.

“We differ in our opinions, left and right,” he said as the speech concluded. “We disagree on the means and the objective. In Israel, we all agree on one issue: the wholeness of Jerusalem, the continuation of its existence as capital of the State of Israel. There are no two Jerusalems. There is only one Jerusalem. For us, Jerusalem is not subject to compromise, and there is no peace without Jerusalem.”

That speech was given Oct. 25, 1995. On Nov. 4, a far-right student fatally shot him.The evening before his speech, the Congress of the United States passed a law echoing Rabin’s assertions about the city. Spurred by the desire to act before Rabin’s visit, the House and Senate passed a bill called the “Jerusalem Embassy Act,” which formally recognized the city as the country’s capital and called for the U.S. Embassy in Israel to be moved there from Tel Aviv by 1999. Support for the bill was overwhelming. It passed the Senate by a 93 to 5 vote, with four Republicans and one Democrat voting no. It passed the House 374 to 37, with 153 Democrats joining most of the new Republican majority that had swept into power in 1994....

The bill became law after Clinton declined to sign it for a 10-day period while Congress was in session. He, George W. Bush and Barack Obama all postponed the embassy move every six months for each of the 22 years since the law was enacted.

Passing the law allowed Congress to demonstrate commitment to the issue while not forcing the president to act on it. It also meant that, for those interested in doing so, the issue was kept alive as a political issue.

Having read your jumbled response to justlooking, I can see that, once again, you have been caught not checking any facts. Your response to him is confusing. You are trying to talk your way out of a bad post.

The US has always sided with Israel - long before Trump was president. So...

Explain how the US cannot be an honest broker for peace.

You also said the peace talks were not going anywhere. If this is true, would it matter what Trump says? Explain how Trump's announcement would make the peace process worse.

Clarify what you mean, and thank justlooking for pointing out the 1995 decision made by Congress.

I'm wondering if Putz belongs to the "Snowflake generation"! That might explain why he is so delicate and can't hold a real job!

Careful that seems to be the new comeback for the old fella.

Daring and undefeatable.

And you should thank justlooking for correcting your bad post. Whenever you are caught making inaccurate posts, which happens quite often, you pretend that your foolishness never happened. You really should be embarrassed.

You make the best of every situation, if you encounter something not to your liking you make it as tolerable as possible and try to level up the playing field. Unfortunately, we have a handful of juveniles in our midst who think it's all right to butt in when they are not being spoken to & make disparaging comments or put another way, I don't like being an Asshole but when push comes to shove I can be just as big of an asshole as the next guy. At least I'm a gentleman about. How "we play the game" is entirely up to my opponents! Have a good day! :) :)

How would you like it if foreign countries tried to tell you that Helsinki isn't the capital of Finland?
Indeed.

How can a third party have the right to determine what place is the capital of a certain country to begin with??

Such an agreement must come from the parties involved. If they can't or wont........ let them duke it out.(without outside interference from anyone).......Perhaps they should realize WHAT is the underling cause of all this resentment........ and deal with that first. Trump owns this now........ and has created even more rage at the US. He operated with the antagonistic MO..........irregardless of the consequences. As long as religious beliefs and prejudices factor in.......it will remain a hot bed. ...... Both parties are extremely manipulative and getting caught in the middle is foolhardy The problem is that the BELIEFS are so entrenched now........ and have such a long history......... that peaceful coexistence might not be possible. .

And OB is too petty to admit (again) that she is wrong.

I am going to suggest going back to school again.

In this and other posts you have,

1. consistently posted inaccuracies,
2. Not checked your facts and have needed correction many times,
3. You do not acknowledge the efforts of others to correct you, or thank those who point out your mistakes,
4. do not realize that your childishness and lack of concern for telling the truth makes your posts worthless: and
5. all this results from your hate of trump.

Now try to better yourself. Tell the truth. Admit your mistakes. Thank those who are trying to help by correcting your mistakes.

This is what you dream, Abul-hawa; which is not the real truth.

Can you, with your little number, overcome more than one and a half billion people, especially when God is with them and against you (as it had been done to the Zioninsts many times along history) ?

Therefore, sooner or later the Zionists of Tel Aviv will be defeated, when the truth is against them and the world is against them, and before anyone else God Almighty is against them.

Google search: quran-ayat.com/conflicts/english3.htm#Jews_Work_According_to_Their_Illusions_

(delete the space between the 'n' and 's' in the last word "Illusion s_", so that the link will work.)

Has he done something good to the disadvantage of more than one and a half billion people, for the sake of the little number of Shylock people?

Most probably, Trump is a Zionist; in fact he may be a hiding Jew: he conceals his true Judaism and pretends Christian .. his daughter is Jewish: how can that be unless he truly is a Jew .. why not? His grandfather had contributed the land for building the Jewish Center of New York .. so almost he is a Jew who has climbed the White House to carry out such service for his people: Shylock's people.

Tare your muzzle terrorist bullshit and fukk off.

I don't believe it's Nassir. It's one of the current posters, trying to stir the pot. Torch light's English is better than Nassir's.

We should be asking OB to apologize for her continual misinformation and need for correction. She's too small minded to do so however.

But I will continue to impress upon her the need for accuracy and maturity.

Well Murphy....who appointed you forum ? critic?? At the rate you are going : obsessing about OB to the point of looking like a stalker........ with due respect it would appear that you need a full time therapist. No offence intended.(sincerely).

I would really like to see what you have to say about the TOPICS as I suspect you have a keen mind ...and it would be great seeing it applied to the topics at hand. But it is all up to you.

Have a great evening ( and holiday season )

**********

back to topic:

What Trump decided does not pass international law either. Trump ENJOYS stirring up trouble.......and the rest of the world knows that......

When one watches news OUTSIDE the US and even CDA.......one gets a better idea of how the world is reacting and it is not positively. His behavior is very tribal and bordering on primitive .(sociopaths)

I am hardly a forum critic. Yours perhaps, but that is because I take exception to your sloppy posting style.

Why do you constantly start the same style of thread rather than keeping them together? Your theme is always, I hate Trump, and it is in virtually everything you post.

I would start a thread like "Why Trump shouldn't be president" and then you can post all your articles together that relate to a common theme - Is Trump competent to govern the US? You might even ask one of the surviving mods to sticky your thread.

That said, if you want to discuss something and get others opinions, you have to say things other than "the Trumpster, spot on, or yes!" And be prepared to read opinions contrary to your own. Ignore posts that people like Cannuck or others enter. Example: Trumpites (insert insult here).

Your spelling and grammar isn't very good. For example, your last post had this in it. "Well Murphy....who appointed you forum ? critic??" Am I a grammar Nazi? Not normally, but when it is difficult to figure out what you mean, then something has to be said. That is often why few people answer you, and the reason your posts fall off the edge of the board.

Start fact checking before you post. Your latest complaint about Trump recognizing Jerusalem is one of many examples. You have done this before. Rest assured, you are not alone. Many people fail to fact check. When justlooking pointed out this error, you ignored him. It would have been nice to say, "Thanks, I didn't know that." You could still have questioned why Trump recognized Jerusalem, but you would have to change your argument. Were you embarrassed?

Don't type so fast and many of these things won't happen.

Proof read before you post.

Consider taking a correspondence or on line English course.

I know that you are angry with me, but I do not swear or lie, like many others here. I point out things that can be corrected.

Criticize all you want. No problem.

At the risk of revealing something personal about myself....... I rely on low vision software and equipment. My posts don' always turn out the way I would like them to. It is a risk I take to be involved in a forum like this. Perhaps the reality is that it won't work for me as much as I had hoped.

enjoy your evening. and have a wonderful holiday season.(to all.)

That would explain why some of your posts were difficult to understand. Knowing that is helpful. Don't worry about needing to use the software. I would say if you proof read before posting, it will help enormously.

Best of the season to you as well.

Why ?? because Trump said so? News flash: people have minds f their own.(ya know: ind pendant thinking )....... and are not going to be dictated to ..and particularity NOT by a sociopath like Trump.
