Don't kid yourself and maybe do a little research! We worked for years at a salary 10 - 20% less than was paid in the private sector. :)

I'll bet that you were kept through thick and thin. Those "better paid" private sector workers were probably laid off at the first sign of a slowdown. It would be quite extrodinary if they had any benefits at all, let alone the juicy retirement that civil servants collect. You need to do a little research and look at the total package, not just the wage.

Yup. It's obvious.

Also irrelevant

Yup, that's definitely one of the benefits of public service. Not all jobs mind you but most are far more secure than the private sector.

I just got back after being away from the computer for a couple of hours to see Cannucklehead still persisting in his Senior bashing mission. Canada has a far bigger issue right now that has surpassed $1/2B in the broken Phoenix System while employees aren't being paid. Maybe Putz should drop the Senior bashing and put his expertise toward solving the more urgent problem. Should be someone there who needs bashing and possibly firing! :) :)

I'll remind you of how far you went into la la land. I asked if youve ever had to use your own vehicle and burn your own gas to get to the hall or meet the truck on site you claimed "I run to the hall".

Pretty pathetic huh?

Just a chronically pathetic piece of shit, Pete!

under what system would we not have debt?

IS that using a Puppies and Rainbows-based economic plan?

The is not about debt. It's the reason for the debt. In our case it's because of entitlements that are unaffordable at worst or at best, underfunded. Seniors weren't willing to pay for their goodies in the past. Now the want to continue at the trough while others pick up the tab.

Clearly, they're the most selfish generation in history
