Wait. . . "transcanada?" Is that like "I was born in Ohio, but I always felt more comfortable in a plaid shirt and a toque, getting drunk on cheap beer and yelling at hockey games on television, so now I identify as transCanada. I'm saving up for the surgery?"
Beer isn't cheap up here .

We're still trying to figure out how Alberta oil going through BC and off to China equals cheaper gas in Vancouver.

It's a powerful argument.

Supply and demand. Burnaby Suncor and Chevron don't get enough oil to refine so gas is trucked up from Everett in WA.

And allowing bitumen through BC to CHina will result in gas in BC how?

There is no benefit to BC from this pipeline.

Well I guess China gets a break - what about BC?

The Spirit of Elvis is kicking ass and taking names.

He'll kick Injun ass back to Siberia.

The Feds bought the Prairies a shiny new Port in Prince Rupert.

Watch for sea can style oil tanks coming to a well head near you.

In, excuse me but the Feds didn't "buy" a Port in Prince Rupert - Alberta did!!

Just FYI

Who else would be stupid enough to buy a port for oil in an oil tanker exclusion zone?

› Burnaby Terminal and Tunnel
Burnaby Terminal Today
Burnaby Terminal is the end point of the Trans Mountain Pipeline System. It is a distribution point for crude oil and refined products to local terminals – the Chevron refinery and the Westridge Marine Terminal. Burnaby Terminal currently has 13 tanks with a combined storage capacity of 1.6-m bbl with secondary and tertiary containment.

The tanks are painted green to minimize appearance on the landscape. Burnaby Terminal has odour mitigation, fire protection and emergency response equipment. The existing pipelines and piping include a 24-inch pipeline from Strathcona County, Alberta, a 24-inch pipeline to Westridge Marine Terminal, manifold and metering equipment, water treatment facilities and maintenance buildings and offices.

I see the problem, - we are talking about Burnaby and PR at the same time.

Burnaby is not in the exclusion zone - PR is.
