As usual, the tripe voiced from the left. I pretty much agreed with everything listed that Kenny did while in office. I also agree with Colpy that face coverings should NEVER be allowed when swearing an oath and I also agree with Quebec's stance on the burka and niqab. Having to wear them is insulting to women everywhere I also think that feminists (both men and women) are hypocrites because you don't hear them say a word. Saying nothing means that they condone the wearing of these hideous garments which says a lot about them doesn't it? And yet they believe they are superior to those of us who disagree. Unbelievable!

So there, call me a racist (when it's nothing to do with race) and a bigot (because I don't agree with lefties). I have large shoulders and will wear the "name(s)" proudly because I know, deep inside, that I am neither and it's the "pot calling the kettle black".

I think we should work around the face covering issue when swearing an oath.

I haven't looked into the whole burka/niqab issue to comment, other than it's coming out of Quebec so it's likely very fked up. That said, as a woman I'm not insulted by women choosing to wear them or not. Please note I said choosing, not being forced, which are two different things. As it is, I'm sure if you have issue with those you have issue with the coverings of the Christian and Jewish sects as well? Not much difference between a Sister's habit and a burka, after all.

I think being FORCED to wear them is a whole other story, but just as being forced to wear them is wrong, being forced to expose themselves when they choose to wear them is the same damned insulting thing.

I condone the use of force/manipulation to get women to wear this stuff.

I think it's sad that people take the choice and manipulate it to prove their point.

A person is a bigot not because they disagree with lefties, but when you have no tolerance for anyone not having the same opinion as you (like it's 'insulting to women everywhere' that people might wear a burka or niqab, when it's obviously not true). And there are a lot of bigots here.

Oh I have no doubt Kenney will be speaking at length on the muslim veil ban and other vitally importantt issues not to do with how to get Alberta's poisonous sludge to market.

Your argument is specious at best when you say that ".."I'm sure if you have issue with those you have issue with the coverings of the Christian and Jewish sects as well." There's no comparison because they're FACES aren't covered. The scarfs that some Muslim women wear are very beautiful and most wear them as an accessory to their clothing and I have absolutely no issue with them wearing them. It is the full body covering that I have an issue with. In public - no - in private - go for it!

And it is an insult to women who wear the full body garbs as far as I'm concerned and, as far as I know, I am entitled to my opinion as you are yours. We just happen to disagree on that point. I do, however, agree with you in that no one should be "forced" to wear this ugly garb.

As for being a "bigot" I state categorically it's a term that lefties use most often when people don't agree with them so again, I agree to disagree with you on that point.
