Lol, as I spent my 20's in Halifax, yeah you hear a lot of news about shootings and such but 90% of the reported crimes involving guns were drive bys in Spryfield where a car would unload on a house and drive off.... No one injured.
Not sure what they were all about but they happened quite often, nobody was hurt.
Guess they couldn't find a barn to shoot.
Ha, yeah as I mentioned above... Shooting up houses. I guess it's gun related crime but a P*ss poor one.
Yeah, the Melvin's did their business in Spryfield the they lived in Fall River, pretty much a world away, you know dogs don't $h!t where they sleep, but their feud with the Marriott's brought the $h!t home to them. A couple of Marriotts didn't survive, but Jimmy Jr., though shot 5 times on three different occasions seemed to always walk away. But they were still dubbed "the gang that couldn't shoot straight", but spend enough lead and someone's gonna get a hurt real bad.
In the 13 years I lived there the shooting incidents went from 2 a week down to about 2 a month. Funny, I only know of one accidental shooting causing bodily harm involving a legal firearm in all that time, a fellow I know shot himself in the thigh with a .22 pistol while disassembling it for cleaning, (long story), damn near died though, he was lucky.
Put some slugs in and everybody scatters no matter what the barrel length is. Is there anything you guys aren't amateurs at? Personally I think any longer than the pump is a waste of space and it will just get hung up on shit. Roombroom is the common term depending on the load.
Back off on the powder just a bit and you might be able to add some more pellets to the barrel before discharging. El Destructo Si??
People scatter just by seeing a big bore, unless their name is Kreskin they have no way of knowing what load you're using. Yes, I was told that I should just buy another barrel and Have Sam Adams, (a well known NS Gunsmith) cut it down, but I left before I could find one for my gun. Rifled slugs are hard on a full choke but a buddy cast and loaded a design of fin stabilized slugs of a slightly smaller bore wrapped in a sabot that work really well, and with the longer barrel have a surprisingly tight pattern at 75 yards.
Mine is considered a goose gun and I use it primarily for birds and clays, but have done fairly well in three gun shoots with it. It would probably be a distant 3rd choice for home defense. Shotguns loaded with anything but slugs are rather indiscriminate, and anyone hit with even a glancing blow of 0 - 000 Buck or SSG's will likely not survive the encounter. I'm sure law enforcement would be looking pretty hard at anyone using such in that situation with a suspicion of premeditation.
