Is it possible for you to create a lucid post? And why can't you offer a comment without being snarky. Once upon a time when I worked in Ottawa I had a mentor who drove this concept home to me. "You got a problem? Look to yourself first". You and your fellow progs would do well to ponder that.

Maybe you should do some study on Canada before you come onto a Canadian forum and look stupid. Here's a clue - Stronach. Feel free to Google.

You've proven the point quite admirably about low brows though....

...you know ... the know-it-alls who know little of anything but make a lot of noise about it

Obamacare could have been a great program. BUT... it was being forced on some who choose not to participate. This new proposal also is loaded with huge flaws. True, now there would be a choice to participate BUT again instead of correcting the obvious errors now the GOP in their haste wants to give us another bad Health Care Act. In both cases we have been lied to by many politicians who even did so on Talk shows on camera. The fact that we are being lied too even on camera is what REALLY UPSETS ME! Both sides have had 7+ years to get this right and neither even made an attempt!

Only an absolute moron believes that Canada's health care is FREE.

It's paid by income tax.. you're just being a nit picking old lady.

However, I don't have to pay a monthly premium, and when I go to the hospital, urgent care or my doctor their is no upfront cost or co-pay.

If your on welfare to a billionaire everyone is treated equally.

This is basically the only topic I'm Liberal on.. other than that, believe in the death penalty, no to abortion, open carry gun laws, sending GRUNTS into battle any chance we can..

Only an absolute moron doesn't understand what is actually meant when people say that.

The provincial part is paid for by sales tax, not income tax.

Geeez..

Canada Health Transfer is income taxes and transfer payments

Provincial Health Care is paid by sale tax, and in some provinces such as BC is also paid with the month premiums.. :p

It's paid by ****ing TAXES & in some cases PREMIUMS!!

As I said... it is not FREE.

You're a idiot troll.

When Medicare was set up, the provinces had two options: one was to charge annual premiums, or they could use provincial sales taxes to cover their portions of the costs. Some provinces opted for one, some provinces opted for the other.

BC NDP had promised to get rid of the premiums.. kinda surprised they didn't win in a landslide.

Glad they didn't :)

You could have just said...

"You're right ES, health care in Canada really isn't free."

Canadian Health Care is free at the point of use..

Yes it is publicly funded health care system paid by taxes, nevertheless FREE at point of use. You knew what I was talking about, but you just want to be a troll and prove some obscure point.

To dam bad Obama didn't do the same for the USA when he had the house and senate, and insure everyone, however the Helth Insurance lobby wouldn't let him.

The USA after WWII, setup Socialized Health in Germany, just not for it's own people... PWND

USA has Socialized Health care if your over 65.. Obama should have expanded it to everyone.

The BUT is Obama should have created a Canadian style Health Care system and have FREE Healthcare for everyone. (When he has the House & Senate)

It's paid by income tax.. you're just being a nit picking old lady.

He had the House and Senate and that is all he needed. The Health Insurance Lobby could not have stopped the President and Congress, they could have done as they pleased.

They didn't go to far because they knew they were going to get roasted as it is... and the roasting hasn't stopped.

The USA did it got Germany after WWII, they have Socialized Health care too..[/QUOTE]

The only FAIL is the fathers condom when you were created a few years back.. MISTAKE.

Again.. watch, educate yourself GURNT.

What is a GURNT?

Oh yeah... truck drivers can't spell and you're in a blind rage with the roasting I am giving you.
