Someone finally has some common sense

Only Jack Cade could turn this subject into a whimper about how hard-done-by white men are. His main worry about feminine hygiene products is how they might affect men.

What's wrong with turning a thread into how hard-done by women are into a thread about how hard-done by men are?

Are you suggesting that suits and ties are as painful to wear as high heels?

Of course maybe only fat guys should wear high heels so they look thinner.........

If workplace dress codes no longer apply to women then why should they still apply to men?

Nobody should be telling men what to wear.

So where is the law stating that men should no longer be forced to wear suit and tie at work?

Laws are only necessary when people can not come to the proper conclusion through common sense. Hiking up and down stairs carrying heavy trays in 8" spikes is not only unsensible but downright dangerous. Suits and ties are more a décor issue.

There are old newsreels around showing the workings of British factories circa WWIi. The men .. operating lathes, milling machines, drill presses, stamping presses, etc. all are wearing neck ties.

Common sense .....

Does that situation still exist?

Because Jack Cade has decided a thread about a law mostly affecting women in British Columbia is really about him in England.

That boy couldn't stay on topic if you welded him to it.

This was the question I asked. Fairly straightforward, really, and a very good question to ask:

Do men still have to wear suits and ties in the workplace or is there going to be a new law introduced which states that no man should be compelled to wear such things?

If workplace dresscodes are going to be abolished for women, why not abolish them for men also?

In British Columbia today a law was passed that women can not be compelled to wear high heeled shoes in ANY workplace. WHY did it take some genius this long to figure that out?
I thought you were a Trump-style deregulation guy??? What happened?

I have never know any man who likes to see women wear heels (they much prefer flats). Instead, it is women who like heels. At least, that's what I've seen over the years.

Where I work there are at least as many if not more women than men amongst us commoners and one observation I can make is that women obsess over footwear much more than men, they are more likely to look down where men will look other places. The main concern I've seen for men, at least for the workplace is whether they can pass through the metal detector without setting it off.

Pretty much am and that works when everyone uses common sense.

OK? The employers that make these rules have a different impression.

Workplace dress codes aren't being abolished for women.
