Trump Approval Rating: Here's where the president stands as of the 34th day of his term

President Donald Trump's popularity reached a new low this week, as several polls show that Americans continue to disapprove of his job performance more than a month after having been sworn in.

A Quinnipiac University poll, released on Wednesday, shows that 55% of voters have a negative view of the Trump administration — the worst rating since he took office. This is an uptick from a similar poll by Quinnipiac released on Feb. 7, when 51% of Americans viewed Trump's performance unfavorably.

The same poll collected voters' opinions on Trump, revealing that 55% see him as a dishonest person with no good leadership skills; 53% believe that he "does not care about average Americans" and 60% say he does not share their values. In addition, 58% believe that he's dividing the country, compared to just 38% who believe he's doing more to unite the nation.

"President Donald Trump's popularity is sinking like a rock," said Tim Malloy, Quinnipiac University Poll's assistant director. "He gets slammed on honesty, empathy, level-headedness and the ability to unite. And two of his strong points, leadership and intelligence, are sinking to new lows. This is a terrible survey one month in."

Not at all.

It's simply putting a spotlight on the most oppressed at that time.

We're all immigrants (myself included), and we all experience prejudice to varying degrees. To assume we are all equally discriminated against is misleading.
So in a country liked Canada were every one is equal under the law , we have to make laws that make some classes of people more equal . Makes sense to me .

Getting further into the area of soliciting denunciations of people because of offensive things they have said, and trying to discourage obnoxious or sociopathic or even hateful opinions, will not eliminate them and is apt to compromise democracy rather than strengthen it. I do not doubt the virtue of Ms. Khalid and Mr. Majzoub’s motives, but it is impossible to increase the respect in which Islam is held by simply demanding it. Only Muslims can attract increased collective admiration from non-Muslims, and they will not do that by trying to infringe the freedom of expression of everyone else and by indulging their co-religionists who regularly and in large numbers revile the rest of us as infidels. Christianity is 600 years senior to Islam and has 600 million more adherents, and, for all its historic failings, a much less violent history. And Christians generally regard Islam with more respect than they receive back from Muslims. The numbers of extremists who lurk and fester among the reasonable and civilized Muslims may be “infinitesimally small” and I hope they are, but they have killed many thousands of innocent people in terrorist acts in almost every Western country over the last 20 years.

The Islamic leaders are not remotely doing all they can to reassure the world, including the people of this country, of the tolerant spirit of the Muslim majority. Not one per cent of Canadians has any problem with Muslims and anyone else having and practicing their religion and cultural traditions, as long as they are not an affront to the laws of this country. Islamophobia, in the sense of a visceral dislike of everyone who is a Muslim, is “infinitesimally small” in this country. But those who seek greater respect for Islam have to earn it, not just require it from Parliament, which has no jurisdiction to confect or confer it.

Conrad Black: Parliament can’t simply demand people feel good about Islam | National Post

Note;

"But those who seek greater respect for Islam have to earn it, not just require it from Parliament, which has no jurisdiction to confect or confer it."
That opinion can't be worth much , it was written by Conrad Black , he is a criminal don't you know .
It was a good read though .

My family settled in Upper Canada in the mid 1780's from Scotland and Pennsylvania.

Ignorant twat.
When did Canada become a country ? Ignorant twat . What is a twat anyway ?

While Conrad Black may be a criminal, he couldn't have worded his "essay" any better. I agree with it wholeheartedly.

I'm beginning to think that Islam isn't really a religion at all; it's a system of control inspired by a guy named Muhammad (who I hope is burning in hell). All the men under this system promote it because it gives them complete control over everything; women, children; their society as a whole. Nothing "religious" about it at all. This guy named Mohammad then made up a name (Allah) so that all the men could claim they represent an entity that no one really knows exists, to better control the population; make up rules that apply to everyone but themselves.

Other so-called religions may also claim to represent an entity that no one really knows exists either but they are much more open to respecting freedom of speech, including criticism, freedom to protest peacefully, freedom for women and children to participate in daily life and make their own decisions and so on.

While all so-called religions have their "extremists", Islam seems to have gotten worse over the past 20 years and if history is any indication, they won't be finished inserting their misogynistic views anytime soon.

For a woman to attempt to bring in M-103 is absolutely horrifying as she should know better than anyone what happens when speech is restricted.

It was truly gratifying to me to see the 700 or so people in Toronto (or was it Ottawa) from countries such as Pakistan and Iran gather together to protest M-103 because they believe that the passing of this bill will only be the beginning; they believe it's Canada's version of a "blasphemy" law and you know what? They are likely right. As one protester stated, "Mr. Trudeau has his eyes closed". Couldn't have said it better myself. All of them came to Canada to get away from such laws; Canada meant freedom and they are extremely concerned at this turn of events.

Northern Ontario,
After every act of terror we are told we should not judge all Muslims based on the actions of a few.

Now our government is writing a new law because of the actions of one man.

Yes, well we can't expect anything favourable about Trump from the Universities can we?

The polls also showed that he didn't have a chance of winning the election. Right up to the last day!

You're confusing polls with projections.

The polls were right.

Sneak into your bedroom and do up your wife . She's bored with you .

Yeah, right. That reminds me of the leaflets that the Germans dropped on the American lines about Hollywood stars staying home and taking their women. Unfortunately, the niave krauts didn't learn enough English or do their homework. "Your sister sleeps with Donald Duck" ... which actually turned out to be true, come to think of it.

I don't think your 10th & 13th generation as you say, Canada for instance is only 150 yrs old.

Not sure who is going to be helping you defend this land, Caucasions are not reproducing at a high enough rate and they will soon be in the minority. Our current military is mostly made up of Caucasions, and once their numbers dwindle, there will be nobody left to defend this land.

Right now, we have 22% of Canadians are of visible minority status, if our military was proportionally represented we would have our military made up of 22% visible minority, but in reality our military is only made up of less than 4% visible minorities.
So you see, nobody will be helping your offspring defend this land.
Figure it out....150 years counting 20 years for a generation and that is being conservative. It is only in the modern age that 20 to 30 years is the time of a new generation. Seven generations back is not outrageous. My grandmother was born from Canadian born parents, There are now 3 more generations.. That is very conservative compared with some of my neighbors many of whose parents were married at 14 and 15 and I am aware of at least two families in my town who have had 22 and 24 children respectively,
