What I find interesting is the current narrative in the US, for the last dozen years or so, is fear.
The media loves to bring up stories to get people to be afraid. Be afraid of your neighbors, of men, of women, of those scary guys who look different, those scary guys who sound different, be afraid of the government, be afraid of the police, be afraid of people with guns, be afraid!
The most important thing is to be afraid of something, everything, someone, everyone!
