I think Enbridge would do well to absorb the loss and be thankful that they at least got approval for Line 3. While they are at it they better make damn sure that these new lines are state of the art and that all existing lines are inspected, repaired and maintained to the highest standards possible.

Let Facebook or google run it. It will last a billion years.

Want her dumped into the tar sands as a sacrifice? That would take coming up with a song and everything. How about 'Walk home 'Biatch'' or something just as mean? All between you and freedom is 5M sqkm of swamp.

Nah......Lizzie's not lookin' all that good anyway...........a few days chained to a dozer in winter conditions isn't going to help. Let Nature take its course.

The First Nations should be given preferred employment status for where the line meets the ground and part of that would be to be as educated as possible in the material sciences that they encounter.
Construction is a boom time that is never planned for by most in that when the construction is complete there are no new jobs to replace all the ones that will be lost. Most workers will just move back to where they were living before and only the buffalo will roam.

The door for FN'S to get into trades was kicked wide open by trade unions almost a decade ago.

All they have to do is show up.

Nature would fire up the D9 and throw it into gear.

Sorry, I can't hear you over the flood of Alberta support heading to Trudeau.

What flood of support. That ignorant little pissant from Quebec just sold them out. NG is essential to get oil from Northern Alberta and BC to markets other than the US.
Kinder Morgan was just tossing a well chewed bone to that useless bitch in Alberta. Good thing both of them are one timers.

Did you know.........that when the Supreme Court ruled against Northern Gateway citing the government for lack of consultation, they found no fault with the consultations conducted by Enbridge.

"But the Crown can't download its duties to corporations."

I was aware that the decision was a win for the FNs, I did not know it was or could be a loss for environmental groups.

"Even as the decision provided a victory for Indigenous groups, it marked a defeat for advocates who argued Harper had ignored environmental considerations and climate change in approving the project.

The court dismissed them outright, saying cabinet was "entitled to assess the sufficiency of the information and recommendations it had received, balance all the considerations — economic, cultural, environmental and otherwise — and come to the conclusion it did."

"To rule otherwise would be to second-guess the Governor in Council's appreciation of the facts, its choice of policy, its access to scientific expertise and its evaluation and weighing of competing public interest considerations, matters very much outside of the ken of the courts," the ruling said.

Consider that conclusion for a moment in light of the challenges Campbell's clients have raised to the Trans Mountain pipeline.

They claim the NEB failed to consider Species At Risk Act in approving a project that would potentially doom the southern resident killer whale population to extinction.

They also say the project has failed to address the impact nearly tripling the flow of oil through the Trans Mountain pipeline would have on Canada's international climate change commitments.

But if all that is deemed to fall outside "the ken of the courts" then who is to say what's right and wrong?"

Even the moonbat astronaut says the "Science" validates these pipelines.

There are many (Ecofascists) poised to rake in huge money to oppose anything and everything.

I think it would be very interesting to see the data the Enbridge collected during their surveys, don't you?

And this one is just rubbing her hands in glee........

"We're seeing that while government may make a decision, government decisions are not the last word anymore, and the last word on some of these really big contentious projects is going to be the courts," says Ecojustice lawyer Karen Campbell."

The Feds dating back to Martin have better data. Northern Gateway was pitched in 1998. If the Martin Libs were looking for viable lines back then, what else has been conceived in the last 18 years?

Jeez you think they could have found a picture of Notley and Trudeau looking a little happier.
