What does the College crowd know? The students haven't even begun to live yet. The professors live in a protected environment far removed from the realities of the working class. Most of the professors teach subjects that they have no practical experience working at. Just book learning.
Try telling a family struggling to feed, clothe and provide an education for the family how much of a priority gender/minority equality and the special need of transvestites and gay.
The working class are the backbone of society. They know about prioritizing from experience. It's the only way they can survive.

Absolutely, while professionals are necessary, most of the common sense comes from the labourers and truck drivers etc.

I think most Europeans know that Britain has left the EU. It's been a rather major news story in Europe - and the world - over the last five months.

When did that happen? Britain has left the EU already?

Absolutely, while professionals are necessary, most of the common sense comes from the labourers and truck drivers etc.

Yeah, truck drivers. Those guys who pee in empty winshield washer jugs and leave them on the side of the road. That explains the Trump victory.

Proving once again that your grasp of reality is tenuous.

If Britain has left the EU, then there's no reason for any negotiations or bureaucracy.

No. You're right. There are no need for negotiations.

We should, and could, get out NOW.

Do they all do that?

The ignorance on here is appalling - mention labourers and truck drivers and the bozo jumps to the conclusion they are uneducated! What the bozo (putz) fails to understand is education comes from a myriad of sources.

The College crowd are schooled in socialism.
Remember the saying, 'If you're not a socialist at age 20, you have no heart. If you're still a socialist at age 40, you have no brain!)
I remember as a young person thinking I knew all the answers. I've seen the same thing in the kids in my family as teenagers and college students.
After a few years of life's experience reality kicks in if a person is intelligent.

Truck drivers seem to be educated in JLMs eyes but that just says volumes about JLM.

Really though, the uneducated always think lack of education is a badge of honor and their street lernin' is more valuable. It's kinda cute but sad at the same time.

Personally, I find nothing funnier than a simpleton shyting on education.

Students Can't Spot a Fake at Ten Paces: The Success Of Fake News

Most teens and young people can't spot fake news, and unquestioningly accept social media headlines and photos, according to a new Stanford University study. It comes after social media giant Facebook has faced heated criticism of the amount of fake news published and shared during the 2016 US election.

A new study by Stanford University in California, of 7,804 American middle school, high school and college students, found that most of them couldn't identify fake news on their own.

Can you trust this news source? Those numbers should be much higher. While I'm sure most in that age group could spot the difference between Jake Gyllenhaal and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a crowded room they still have a mindset that believes jumping off the roof of the garage with a home made parachute sounds like a fun and safe endeavour. The Kardashians and many other celebs have made $h!tloads of money marketing ads to this specific demographic who don't recognize them as ads. Modern schooling is certainly not preparing them for adulthood, but I can't say it was much better in the past. There was a reason the voting age used to be 21.

Not saying I don't trust Stanford, just who published it in print, or virtual print anyway. BTW, last time I checked the drinking age was still, (or again) 21 in the US. You want 18 year olds in the military, that's why its referred to as the infantry, they're young and invincible. But I get it, if you have to pay taxes you should be allowed to vote. Here, you don't pay taxes and can't sign a contract until you're 18, but I wouldn't disagree with raising the age of both back to 21.

The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 withholds revenue from states that allow the purchase of alcohol by anyone under the age of twenty-one. Prior to the effective date of that Act, the drinking age varied from state to state. Some states do not allow those under the legal drinking age to be present in liquor stores or in bars (usually, the difference between a bar and a restaurant is that food is served only in the latter).

Contrary to popular belief, since the act went into law, only a few states prohibit minors and young adults from consuming alcohol in private settings.

As of January 1, 2010, fifteen states and the District of Columbia ban underage consumption outright, seventeen states do not ban underage consumption, and the remaining eighteen states have family member or location exceptions to their underage consumption laws.
