... bigots can just be ignored....
Here is what concerns me. With Trump in such disagreement not only with the Democratic Party but even his own, he will probably not accomplish much legislatively, and we can thank God for that. But he can use the airtime to launch a propaganda war between himself and the two main parties. This in turn could could embolden bigots ever more at home and abroad as their confidence rises. As it does, even if Trump does not run in the next election, a bigot will run not only for the White House but for the House of Representatives and the Senate too.
I don't consider Trump to be stupid either, or at least not anymore. A severe economic recession could even benefit his cause politically if he can spin it as being the fault of the government resisting the implimentation of his plan. He might even know already that his plan can hurt the US economy but plans to exploit it to further aggravate tensions.
What they fail to understand is that this is temporary. The simple reality is that wasps are having fewer kids and the country (much to the chagrin of the crusty old racists) is getting darker. The battle for a white America is lost...short of draconian measures undertaken by the Trumpites... which I doubt there is enough support for. Given Trump's left-wing fiscal agenda, I can see the Democrats having a moderate candidate that will steal a fair sized chunk of the Republican voters that dislike Trump because of it. Simply put, the core supporters for Trump measure 15-20%. As somebody that would traditionally vote Republican (were I American), I would have voted for any independent over either Hillary or Donald. I would vote Democrat in the next election if the Dems have anything even close to reasonable and I suspect the majority of fiscally conservative Republicans will as well
Bigots cannot and will not be ignored. Too many of them posting silly shyte on Facebook, Twitter and web forums. The lights have been turned on and they're skittering everywhere.
Yep, and they've skittered out to yell at buildings, and protest the outcome
of the US Presidential Election after the fact instead of voting in the first
place. They cry and snivel instead of putting on their big-boy pants and
just going to work for the next four years, and then protesting with their
ballots at that point. I figure almost everyone except the media is doing
their best to ignore these spoiled children.
So you're basically saying America will not recover.
Protesting is the American and Canadian way. Remember the Tea Party?

No I'm not
Here's a reality check for ya:
“I’ve seen a ton on the facebook about "thanking veterans for their service.” As a veteran let me just be very straightforward and honest with you. We didn’t “serve our country”; we don’t actually serve our brothers/sisters or our neighbors. We serve the interests of Capital. We never risked our lives or spent months on deployment away from our family and friends so they can have this abstract concept called “freedom”. We served big oil; big coal; Coca-Cola; Kellogg, Brown, and Root and all the other big Capital interests who don’t know a ****ing thing about sacrifice. These people will never have to deal with the loss of a loved one or the physical and/or psychological scars that those who “serve”, and their families, have to deal with for the rest of their lives. The most patriotic thing someone can do is to tell truth to power and dedicate yourself to building power to overthrow these sociopathic *******s. I served with some of the most real and genuine people I’ve ever met. You’ll never see solidarity like the kind of solidarity you experience when your life depends on the person next to you. But most of us didn’t join for that; we joined because we were ****ing poor and didn’t have many other options.“
