I think Bannon was an inspired choice for Chief Strategist and Advisor. Above all he has been a opponent of the NeoConservative conspiracy that has taken over the Republican establishment.

He proffers an authentic form of conservatism that has been lost in the Republican Presidents from Nixon forward. They have promoted a toxic blend on classic laissez-faire, free trade economic liberalism and American global imperialism.. which has torn the national economy and culture apart. There has been NO difference in public policy between the Democrats and Republicans for 5 decades.. ONLY differing terms of reference.

It's for this reason i hope he does NOT bring Mitt Romney into his cabinet.. ESPECIALLY as Secretary of State.. since in he is an arch NeoCon.. with no understanding of the underlying motives of a Trump Presidency.

Bannon, Trump's "Right Hand," previously led Breitbart, a publication beloved by the alt-right, a coalition of white nationalists, “identitarians,” neo-Nazis, anti-Semites, racists, and misogynists.
Prominent white supremacist Jared Taylor has said “the central element of the alt-right is the position it takes on race.” Richard Spencer, who coined the term alt-right, has talked about the "Jewish question,” called for FORCED STERILIZATION OF RACIAL MINORITIES and advanced the idea of “peaceful ethnic cleansing.”

Steve Bannon vs. the Media Party

By Robert on November 19, 2016 4:00 PM | No Comments

Anyone who chooses to look beyond the headlines, knows fully well that media outlets "bend the truth" to their point of view. This is often done through obfuscation (leaving out facts) rather than outright lying. But post-election, it has become very clear that many "journalists" have decided to discard their ethics and professionalism entirely by stating that Trump's special advisor, Steve Bannon, is an anti-semite. This is simply the opposite of the truth!

Finally Bannon has spoken out in a feature length interview with Kimberley Strassel:
He continues: "How can you take anything seriously from a media apparatus--paid the amount of money you people are paid--that systematically missed something that was so obvious, that missed Brexit, that missed the Trump revolution? You'd have thought they'd have learned their lesson on November 8." Slight pause. "They clearly haven't."

Anti-Semitic? "Breitbart is the most pro-Israel site in the United States of America. I have Breitbart Jerusalem, which I have Aaron Klein run with about 10 reporters there. We've been leaders in stopping this BDS movement"--meaning boycott, divestment and sanctions--"in the United States; we're a leader in the reporting of young Jewish students being harassed on American campuses; we've been a leader on reporting on the terrible plight of the Jews in Europe." He adds that given his many Jewish partners and writers, "guys like Joel Pollak, these claims of anti-Semitism just aren't serious. It's a joke."

More here and here.

Normalizing the Abnormal: NPR Begins Its Whitewashing of Breitbart's Racism

Trumpites all use the same technique; trot out blame the victim reverse racism.

If you are curious about how racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric, and organizations dedicated to propagating the same are able to slip into the mainstream, do yourself a favor and listen to NPR's Wednesday morning interview with Breitbart senior-editor-at-large Joel Pollak.
NPR apparently felt the need to invite on a Breitbart mouthpiece to put in a good word for Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s newly announced senior policy adviser. Bannon previously led Breitbart, a publication beloved by the so-called alt-right, a loose coalition of white nationalists, “identitarians,” neo-Nazis, anti-Semites, racists, and misogynists who were ecstatic over Bannon’s appointment. Pollak’s segment was a master class in obfuscation and a primer on how to flip the script and turn totally justified accusations of bigotry, misogyny and anti-Semitism into “reverse racism.”
“Let’s hear a defense of Steve Bannon,” NPR host Steve Inskeep began, offering a view of exactly what direction this interview would take. Pollak started by launching into a gushing assessment of Bannon, calling him “a national hero,” and talking about how it’s so great we’ll have someone “so calm under pressure in the White House.” (Maybe this is true, though it contradicts accusations against Bannon of domestic abuse, sexual harassment and being a “verbally abus[ive]” “bully” “who is prone to a lot of tirades” by former staffers.) When Inskeep interjected to ask about Bannon’s tireless work to turn Breitbart into the alt-right outlet of choice, Pollak attempted to distance the site from the movement it has nurtured on a steady diet of xenophobia, racism, sexism and anti-Semitism.

There's too much worry about what people said in the past.
Is there anyone here who has not ever changed his mind about something?
Circumstances change people's minds. Maturity changes people's minds. People's minds change as society's needs change.
FGS quit worrying and wait and see!

I change my mind all the time. I used to think you were a simpleton. Now I think you're a racist as well.

Anthony Scaramucci, Trump's Communication Director, has accused the Chief of Staff Reince Priebus of being the source of the White House leak machine by using underlings to pass information to the media. He challenged Priebus to deny it. It seems Scaramucci is going to be a real sh*t disturber for White House discipline which Sean Spicer was decidedly NOT.

It wouldn't surprise me if true. There has been a concerted effort by the Republican Establishment to undermine and destabilize the Trump Administration. It is led by so called 'moderates' including Sens. Lindsay Graham, John McCain, Ohio Govenor John Kasich and others. They have conspired with Democrats to concoct the Russia Probe as a device to delegitimize and disorganize the Trump Presidency by way of innuendo, slander, misrepresentation.

They are all NEOconservatives.. globalists, imperialists, trickle downers, libertarians.. Reaganites. They would have far preferred Hillary Clinton win the Presidency than a conservative nationalist, dirigiste, populist and renegade like Trump. It would not be inconceivable that they have placed a deep 'mole', a very conventional member of the Establishment, in the White House to spread discord. Let's see how he responds.

Yep, so far he has suggested that Priebus is responsible for the felonious leaking of Mooch's financial disclosure statement when he was at the Import-Export Bank. The fact that I-E Bank disclosures are public record, and can be obtained online by anybody, apparently don't bother Mooch at all. In Moochworld, which appears to be a suburb of Trumpworld, "leaking" something that is publicly available is a felony.
