Absolutely.

But I've followed politics for a while now so my expectations are tempered based on the complete dogfart that was in office before Trudeau.

Cretin hasn't been in office for quite a while. Best be leaving that crack pipe alone for a while.
But you gotta admit trudOWe does make Harper look like a saint.

Chretien was the last PM that actually improved our financial situation. He should come back

Yup, the top income tax bracket was at $66,500, (oddly the maximum wage for MP's, they were topped up with "tax free allowances") for his entire term regardless of inflation, (bracket creep). Anyone anywhere except for Alberta paid up to 52% on anything earned over that. Granted Mulroney started that one. The $50M deficit was eliminated as was the EI $50M surplus, hmmm. He also enacted PET's dream of criminalizing firearms ownership. He re-named CYUL, (Dorval airport) after PET, it should have been Mirabel. But those are only icing on his cake, and pet peeves of mine.

I personally, as a Canadian, do NOT know 1 single person who likes Trudeau. He was NOT voted in. He got in because the vote was split between conservatives and NDP. Nobody expected him to win. It was a shock, and his politics have been nothing but shock after shock.
If you want a prime minister that runs around with his tongue hanging out, or does hand stands, or runs around with his shirt off, or is the king of selfies, you are welcome to him ... because we DON'T want him ... we DON'T like him. Please take him. And don't ever believe this article. Everything is wrong, especially the numbers.
So, here it is: We Canadians are EMBARRASSED by Trudeau and his ridiculous antics. He is first of all his mothers son, and secondly, his fathers son ... neither of which are icons. So, please: take our prime minister. Just don't give him back.

First, I like Trudeau and I live in Western Canada and I didn't even vote Liberal. So now you do know someone who likes him. Second, no Prime Minister is voted in - the party is. Third, national polls show Trudeau to still be very popular, probably because of what you refer to as his antics. You might not like the way he acts, but most Canadians seem to. It actually is nice to see a politician who does not have a stick up his rectum. Fourth, I'll wait and see on Trudeau's policies. So far he has not had enough time to carry out many of them, but in two or three years I'll have a better idea of him as will all Canadians.

He's just not a popular PM.

The popularity of Trudeau is a farce, if you look at the country there is a distinct divide as he only panders to certain groups. He has tariffed products in western Canada and done nothing to rebuild the energy sector which is suffering while giving 1.1 billion dollars to bombardier.... Again. If people support this guy with 39% popularity which is the actual percentage of the votes he received, look to the voter districts. If Manitoba west separates, how will eastern Canada survive without the billions each year taken from them in transfer payments. Let's face it guys this is a puff peice with no credible info whatsoever. No one west of Ontario is content with this selfie taking idiot.

I'm Canadian. And you guts are deluded if you imagine, based on "polls" lol, that Canadians like Trudeau. That's the word "on the street". And really, he was voted in with 40% of the votes. And has disappointed and alienated a good many of those
over the past year.

These polls apparently focus exclusively on his groupies, ie. 58% of those who voted for him still support him. Which is a negative, and more in line with what I've heard from my fellow Canadians.

'Popular'; That because elections have become popularity contests and have very little to do with the serious business of running the country.
People grovel at the feel of rock stars, professional athletes and anyone who is constantly in the media, especially if they are good looking and rich. It doesn't matter if they have a functioning brain as long as they smile a lot and sign autographs.
The Liberal MPs run the country while Trudeau 'fronts' for them with his public appearances and dopey smile. The MPs tell him where to go and what to say and even with their scripted notes he still manages to put his foot in his mouth.

I note that you didn't provide a link.

Might as well go with popularity, seeing as how, if Trudeaubama did every single thing in the PCs' platform, they'd still hate him.

We haven't had a half way competent PM in office for at least a generation.. but Justin seems to take the devolution of the office into pure New Age babble, rhinestone glitter and emptiness... racked by death and despair.

Justin brought in a national carbon tax.

That alone gets him my vote for the next election.

The carbon tax won't last past Justin's one term.

We'll need to look south, to the Trump Administration's withdrawal from the idiotic Climate Treaties.. to remove this immense and futile burden of Canadian industry and prosperity.. for an utterly fictional 'threat'.. a political and philosophical con job in AGW.

Justin's too stupid to see it, too credulous to beat an independent path for Canada... but he'll be relegated to the graveyard of political history by fast moving events in the world.

Coldstream is already living in a fictional world where Trump is president and Trudeau only has one term. Just turn out the lights and shut the door. He won't be reachable for a while.
