This may be all about Justin looking good to the UN. He may also believe that it is the correct way to go but there are many questions unanswered.

Since I asked the following in one of the many other threads on this topic I am seeking out an answer.

Anybody here from BC who has paid attention? So has it turned out to be revenue neutral in BC? If yes, what other taxes or costs went down?

Trudeau needs to clear the air. He needs to get up to the blackboard and show us his math.

The following which is well done and simplified shows us that everything we use will cost more. Again I ask, are Income Taxes or the GST/PST/HST rate going to come down to offset these taxes? I haven't heard of the yet.......

The most detailed article I could find is from The World Bank

Pricing Carbon

British Columbia

2008 The carbon tax applies to the purchase or use of fuels within the province. The carbon tax is revenue neutral; all funds generated by the tax are returned to citizens through reductions in other taxes.

CAD30 per tCO2e

BC carbon tax may be revenue neutral over all but not for everyone. Since a great deal of the province has neither public transportation or natural gas these people pay an disproportionate share of the tax.
Even where I live in the middle of Vancouver island the gas line ends 8km from my house and transit consists of one day a week.

This tax...er, pricing....

If you think that was an accident, then you are being fooled.

He was testing the waters because he has a lot of political capital right now.

And it proved that he's successfully defeated the curmudgeon creed of turning 'tax' into a bad word.

So yes, let's call a tax a tax.

And rejoice my angry friends!

Trudeau will not lose the next election over a carbon price.

He's had a 1 year honeymoon lol

The only reason trudOWE won the last election is because he lied about legalizing pot. Hopefully these people wont be too stoned to remember. For sure the thousands that got busted for smoking a joint will remember.

And of course yu are gullible to believe him. How much has the deficit gone up over what he promised again?

Oil was funding the AP Gateway, now it will be funded by debt until the tankers start arriving.

Did you see the shiny new NG powered ferry?

We should put a new tax on stupidity. We need to stimulate intelligence.

The echo of catch phrases is going into high speed here in Alberta, the Conservative movement is gathering momentum,I dislike those catch phrases and more so I dislike when people in positions of power use them, this sorts classification for myself when identifying where leadership goes with those catch phrases.
myself I like to make up my own catch phrases, word play of different sorts.
What a great hobby I have

You know what's truly disturbing about all of this? We used to joke about this but now it's not funny. Those Libtarded sons of bitches have actually figured out a way to tax us for the very air we breathe. Yep, if there's a way to f*ck you out of even more of your hard-earned money, the Liberals will figure it out.
And anyone who is cheering this nonsense is obviously too f*cking stupid to understand simple math or even basic physics.

The carbon tax is driving the Conservative movement in Alberta, people are going CRAZY!

You aren't very bright are you? This isn't an Alberta thing, it's a Canada thing. Do you have any idea how expensive it is for the native people of Canada to live in the NWT? You can add an additional 35 to 40 cents per liter of fuel and that's right now. Wait until the JST arrives.

Do you know how the people in the north heat and power their homes. Diesel and LNG.

In Inuvik, LNG is the main source of power while in Yellowknife diesel is burned. Hmmm? Guess that's why Ministers from the Territories are mighty pissed at Justin Trudeau. By the way my grammatically challenged friend, even with a carbon tax in Alberta, folks outside of the oil provinces will still pay more.

I think Justin said keeping warm is as easy as buying a nice coat from The Bay.

Is Justin Trudeau even in charge of the government?

Like for example all he does is pose for selfie while special interest groups and other think tanks seen to be drawing up the policies he is putting forward?
