Thanks for proving you can't blame Notley, Trudeau or Wynne.

TrudOWE and Notley Simply made a bad situation worse. That is the lefty way. BUt nit to worry they will get all the money back they spent on the Ft. MAc fire blunder with userous surcharges on drywall.

It is laughable to believe this is a truthful assessment. Nutley was praising the gains in the construction industry just the other day which would really be declining if it wasn't for the need to rebuild Ft Mac. Of course the stupid c^nt made out like it was her government policy that made it happen not the fact the town burned down. There has been an increase in oil prices but there is yet to be any significant change in the patch. Many companies like Husky and Shell that pulled out billions in investment when the NDP gained power have no plans to return under the current government meaning those 100,000 jobs will not come back.

Let's also remember it wasn't too long ago the banks predicted much higher interest rates and a stronger dollar so we cannot really trust what they say.
The fact that Ft. Mac burned down is her government's fault.

Oh the sorrows of a booming economy.

If only there were a conservative government that could save us from this mess.

Canadian economy continues rebound, beating expectations | CTV News

Better read your link. The economy is rebounding despite of trudOWE not because of him. ANd most of that is attributed to the oil sands going back tom work after the fire shut them down.

Oh of course...tax breaks for the wealthy....

You do realize that me saving 2% of $75-80,000 still means I pay 5 times what the average person does and $75-80,000 more than 20% of the population

Somehow us regular working people got defined as wealthy by the left. Funny since government employees make up a sizable portion of the left vote and they are far ahead of most Canadians in terms of income.

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley's level of support among Albertans remains statistically unchanged since last February.

Because it is impossible to get negative support?

But that wasn't as bad as predicted therefore the economy grew. Don't you know how to do lefty math yet?

Whether you view yourself right of center or left of center, there is really no denying that the Dippers have been a disaster in Alberta for no other reason then their lack of experience.

And their commitment to dogma instead of reality.

Rachel Notley does remarkably well in face of unrelenting campaign of vilification. Sun newspapers? Not so much.

Notwithstanding a flagging economy and an unprecedented campaign of continual vilification by mass media, Astro-Turf agitators, corporate-bankrolled think tanks, right-wing academics and a nearly hysterical online conservative rage machine, Alberta Premier Rachel Notley's level of support among Albertans remains statistically unchanged since last February.

Given the intensity and fury of the unrelenting media campaign against her, Notley's stubborn ability to retain the approval of about a third of the Alberta electorate must be deeply frustrating and worrying to the powerful and well-financed groups campaigning to bring her and her New Democratic Party government down.

This is not to say they won't ultimately succeed, of course. Any sitting government wears the performance of the economy while it is in office, no matter what the reasons, so even with honest media coverage, the New Democrats would have an uphill fight. Moreover, this is a survey of nine premiers' personal approval and disapproval ratings, not those of their parties.

Still, these results from the Angus Reid Institute's always entertaining quarterly survey of approval and disapproval levels of nine of Canada's provincial premiers do suggest that mainstream media power and credibility continue to wane gradually and that Notley herself is a remarkable and talented politician capable of making the best of even the worst of times.

Using rabble as a source now? Really? They are so left wingnut even moderate leftys get booted from their forums. Do not dare open a discussion with a view opposing the groupthink or you will be banned for life.

That sounds like it is making repairs that should have been already done as the equipment would have failed when the price was still high. More cake fellows???

Yup, took less than 48 hours to be banned from there, and 72 hours from a right wing forum.

I can't remember who said, "an economist is someone who will explain tomorrow why what he predicted yesterday didn't happen today". I think it was Dr. Lawrence J Peter, but I could be wrong.
I knew a Professor of Economics for some years and he used to tell me if you asked three economists the same question, you'd get four different answers.
I love economic forecasts myself simply because partisan hacks love to use them to show how clueless they truly are. Like when just about every leftard with an opinion on the matter kept posting the economic predictions of Brexit like it was God given fact.
What's also interesting is the timing of this prediction, just after OPEC announced it is reducing production. Which will result in a corresponding increase in the price of oil.

Thanks for proving you can't blame Notley, Trudeau or Wynne.

You can't blame Notley for low oil prices nor can you give her credit for rising oil prices. What you can do is give her credit or blame for her policies. In that respect, there is far more blame to go around than credit. We can't get rid of the Dippers fast enough.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, this is the exact same positive message being broadcast on all MSM propaganda organs throughout the molding west as much of it approaches the bottom of a steep trajectory into the muck and ruin. You are Mr Sunshine.
