So why not tell them the truth: that government intervention, taxes and regulation impede or even curtail the production of goods and services needed to raise the standard of living, and pre-empt the students' future?

It seems she is too stupid to understand that what she thinks she is saying in private is never private and will always surface and bite her in the butt.
