I guess one would have to determine exactly when it became a corpse too. The heart would no doubt continue beating for a few pumps while some blood remained in the body.
\
And the jurisdiction's standard for "death."

In Maryland he'd be OK. Maryland courts have ruled that once you're in, she can't withdraw consent. That's why we call it a "no withdrawal state."

Unless they got him on the corpse thing.

Wow, that's really nipping this whole passing on the stupidity gene in the bud. Rather anticlimactic though. I wonder if it was a ghastly case of coitus interruptus, or did her "Little Engine That Could" keep chugging away and arrive better late than never: I think I can I think I can I think I can...

:?D
Brilliant.

PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- An eight-year-old Florida boy is dead after police say he accidentally shot himself in the chest with a handgun.
Port Orange police say Christopher Scurry Jr. and his 12-year-old brother were in their home Friday with their 80-year-old great-grandfather when it appears Christopher shot himself with a 9 mm handgun. His brother performed CPR, but Christopher died at the hospital an hour later.
Police Chief Thomas Grimaldi said it is unclear where Christopher found the gun, but the investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed.
Port Orange is a suburb of Daytona Beach.

Pakistani model killed after offending conservatives

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch, who recently stirred controversy by posting pictures of herself with a prominent Muslim cleric, was strangled to death by her brother, police said Saturday.
Her parents told police one of her six brothers strangled her to death as she slept in the family's home in Multan, police spokeswoman Nabila Ghazanfar told The Associated Press.
Multan police chief Akram Azhar said police were searching for the brother, identified by the family as Waseem Azeem, who runs a local cellular phone shop.
"Apparently the lady died of suffocation but final opinion on her death would be possible only after report of chemical examination comes," said Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, who was among the team that conducted Baloch's autopsy. "She might have been given some poisonous substance before being strangled."
Baloch, whose real name was Fauzia Azeem, shot to fame and notoriety with a series of social media postings that would be tame by Western standards but were deeply scandalous by conservative Pakistani societal norms. She cultivated an outrageous public persona, recently promising to perform a public striptease if the Pakistani cricket team won a major tournament.
Baloch built up a large social media fanbase, with 40,000 Twitter followers and more than 700,000 followers on her official Facebook page. Baloch danced in a racy (again by Pakistani standards) video for a popular rap song that immediately went viral. In postings and public comments, she presented herself as a symbol of female empowerment in a country where domestic violence is commonplace and hundreds of women are murdered by family members each year in so-called honour killings.
On Friday, the day she was killed, she posted a picture with the message, "No Matter how many times i will be pushed down under,,But I m Fighter I will Bounce back..
On July 14, she posted the following: "As a women we must stand up for ourselves..As a women we must stand up for each other...As a women we must stand up for justice. I believe I am a modern day feminist. I believe in equality. I need not to choose what type of women should be. I don't think there is any need to label ourselves just for sake of society. I am just a women with free thoughts free mindset and I LOVE THE WAY I AM. :)"
Most recently, Baloch became embroiled in public scandal when she posted selfies with Mufti Adbul Qavi, a prominent cleric, in a Karachi hotel room during the holy Islamic month of Ramadan. In one picture, she is wearing the cleric's trademark fur-lined hat.
Qavi maintained that he only met with her to discuss the teachings of Islam. But the government suspended Qavi and removed him from the official moon-sighting committee that determines when Ramadan starts and ends in accordance with the Islamic lunar calendar.
In the wake of that scandal, Baloch said she had received death threats and asked for Interior Ministry protection.

A teenager knocked on the wrong door. Now he’s dead, and the homeowner is accused of murder.

By Michael E. Miller

It was the simplest of mistakes, with the steepest of consequences.
Two teenagers were drinking in Chicopee, Mass., Saturday afternoon when they set off to find a friend, according to authorities. Whether it was the booze or the sheer similarity of the neighborhood’s low-slung homes, the teens somehow ended up at the wrong house.
One of the teenagers, a 15-year-old boy, banged on the door.
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out from inside the house, and the boy slumped on the porch with a bullet to his belly.
The boy died at a local hospital. He has not yet been identified.
The homeowner, 42-year-old Jeffrey Lovell, was arrested and charged with murder, according to the Chicopee Police Department.
Although Lovell’s arrest came quickly, the strange shooting has left residents and authorities searching for deeper answers.
“This was a tragic and avoidable incident that resulted in a young man losing his life,” said Hampden County District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni in a statement. “My sympathy and thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends.”
Investigators say the victim and a friend were drinking at a nearby home Saturday afternoon. They got confused when trying to find a friend’s house and instead arrived at 120 Boucher Circle.
Instead of their friend, the home belonged to Lovell.
Lovell is a gun enthusiast whose Facebook page prominently features a picture of him aiming a gun, according to MassLive. Several posts reflected enthusiastic support for the Second Amendment, the website reported.
Lovell initially tried to communicate with the teenager knocking on his door, prosecutors said. But then he snapped.
“When a pane of glass broke, the suspect fired a single shot, striking the victim,” according to the statement from the Hampden DA’s office.

The shooter will be acquitted. You have a drunk on your property, destroying your property and banging on the door wanting to get in is enough to get a jury to acquit in a self-defence plea.

I agree. Homeowners should shoot anyone knocking on their doors. It's the American way.

At no time should a gunowner be expected to think. Shoot first, shoot to kill.

Tiger mauls woman to death in Chinese wildlife park
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

BEIJING -- Siberian tigers at a wildlife park in Beijing mauled a woman to death and wounded another when they stepped out of their car in an enclosure, a Chinese state-run newspaper said.
A tiger pounced on one of the women after she got out of a private car in which she was touring the Beijing Badaling Wildlife World on Saturday, the Legal Evening News reported.
The second woman was killed by another tiger that leapt at her after she stepped out of the vehicle to try to help her companion, the report said.
The Yanqing district government confirmed in an official microblog post that the tiger attack took place at the park, which lies at the foot of the Great Wall. It offered few details but said the injured person was being treated.
Visitors are allowed to drive their own vehicles around the park, but are forbidden from getting out while in certain enclosures, the report said.
A woman who answered the phone at the park refused to comment on the attack, saying only that the park was closed for two days due to forecasts of heavy rain.

Minus the photoshop...

All you've done there is tipped the picture over a little bit to make it look as though that dopey bird and her vehicle aren't on an incline.

What is it about minimum wage workers that causes them to act like morons? So you see someone stealing something you simply follow them while calling the Police and let them handle the theft. Now if the thief was black he likely would have ended up dead anyways but at least the employees wouldn't be charged. And is WalMart paying for their lawyers.....?

Three Walmart workers in Florida have been charged with manslaughter in the February death of a shoplifter, police said Friday.

They are accused of suffocating Kenneth Wisham, 64, after he tried to steal $380 worth of DVDs in a shopping cart from the Walmart on North Road 98 in Lakeland Feb. 7, Fox 13 Tampa reported.

The station reported that the employees chased Wisham, who fell. They then held him on the ground.

As he was being restained, Wisham stopped breathing. The employees called 911 and an ambulance took him to the hospital, where he died, the station reported.

Lakeland police said Friday that criminal charges were warranted after the coroner ruled that Wisham died of mechanical asphyxia and that he had suffered 15 broken ribs.

Charged were Nathan Higgins, 35, a support manager, Crucelis Nunez, 23, a customer service manager, and Ruandall Tooko, 58, who works in loss prevention.

They were taken into custody Thursday.

A police affidavit quotes a witness as saying she saw Nunez knock Wisham to the ground and then pummel him with her fists.
Her accound differed from Nunez's.

She told cops that she “nudged” Wisham as it appeared he was about to fall.

According to the affidavit, Nunez also said she heard Wisham say, “Let me go, I didn’t do anything” and later say, “I can’t breathe.”

Walmart suspended the three employees in February as police investigated Wisham's death.
