One of the most stunningly visual and spiritual videos ever made:
That is a really sad and pathetic response. You should try and release your mind from that vise once in a while. If you would have watched it you would have heard him talk about the Father and the Son and you would have seen that the magnificent photography could only have been inspired by a deep spiritual understanding. Everything is of the Creator. There is no separation. One cannot escape that with their belief systems or lack thereof. We are all children of the same Creator. That you call it something different does not change what it is. There is only One. We are all One. Free your mind from the prison that separates you from everybody and everything else."Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world." (1John 4:1-3 NIV)
Seems Cliffy you are you referring to John 5:39-42? If so, it is a misunderstanding of what that scripture of Jesus was stating in plain english & also being used out of context. If there is a different scripture you were paraphrasing citing the chapter & verse would make it available to others to look it up for themselves to see if your paraphrase is accurate.I couldn't be bothered to memorize "scriptures cuz they are mistranslated, misinterpreted gibberish, but I remember something about Jesus reportedly saying something like "you read the scriptures daily for in them you think you find truth (or god or life)." You will never find any of that in the written words. It is only in life that you will find them.
You miss the point. Literalists always miss the point. You misunderstand the whole point of the book. BTW, Jesus never spoke English, not even plain english. He spoke Aramaic or Hebrew and none of the original writings about him survived. I bet you do not have a clue why that is. Anyway, my point is that you cannot know god reading a book any more than you can know a person by reading their autobiography. The Creative Force cannot be contained in our books or houses of worship. It can only be experienced with the heart through an intimate connection with the Source.Seems Cliffy you are you referring to John 5:39-42? You said what you were saying was Bible scripture, you said that Jesus said it. Apparently it was just " the world according to Cliffy" pretending to quote the words of Jesus and attributing to Him something other than what He said? Not very truthful was it?You miss the point. Jesus supposedly went out into the wilderness for 40 days where he fasted, meditated and fought his personal demons. If you really are serious about having a relationship with your creator, I'm afraid you will have to do the same. Nothing else will suffice. The bible appeals to the ego and the intellect, not the soul. That is why so many evangelical types are barking up the wrong tree. You think you are the only ones who know the divine but really all you know is a bunch of archaic writings that sooth you ego.

We worshipped a collection of writings, written by men, which were assembled and approved by a council of men,who were appointed by a madman. I don't question the beauty of your individual spirituality and your loyalty to Jesus Motar. I just think we were sold a bill of goods and I think it's time we keep our hearts open to what is true.My "spirituality" calls you "Friend" and urges discernment, Cliffy. Your "spirituality" labels me "sad" and "pathetic" and urges me to lose my mind.
You took that personally. Too bad. That is not what I said. I said your response was. "Hate the sin but love the sinner" applies to a lot of stuff. This is not about you. I am expressing my truth the same way you are expressing yours. My "spirituality" calls you "Friend" and urges discernment, Cliffy. Damn right. I don't play video games. Not every atheist is an AR toting, woman beating, child raping, lying thieving, nuclear power station building, mass murdering, video game player...
Have you ever heard the expression an nal retentive?
There are many worldly things that have spiritual element in them & spiritual doesn't = Godly, wise or Truth. The video didn't seem particularly spiritual to me, more just an emoting earthy pagan spirituality to it. The God in everything philosophy is called pantheism. It's worship of the creature and not the Creator. The Bible says it gives testimony of who God is- I stick with the Word of God for wisdom & answers, not through the myths of persons.

You call me friend then tell me my beliefs are false then get all upset when I tell you you are wrong when you say only your beliefs are true and everything else is false. You really are a strange person.
What makes you strange is that you always answer a question with a question, thus avoiding the subject every time. You do not come here to discuss, you come here to preach and nobody here, as if you haven't noticed, is buying your sales pitch. You never respond to other people's posts with your own words, you only post cut and paste passages from a book that the one you are throwing it at has told you time and again that they don't believe is worth the paper it is written on. This leads me to believe that you either can't think for yourself, or you don't respect anybody else's opinion. Sometimes it seems like a gorilla throwing poop at his audience.I am a Christian discussing Christ in a Christian thread, Cliffy. How does that make me strange?

Do you identify yourself a Christian? because I see no evidence by your knowledge, interest, beliefs or behavior.Have you ever heard the expression an nal retentive?
I am me. Who are you? Are you the label you attach yourself to or are you a person? Can you think for yourself or do you come to preach to the heathen? This is an open forum. God knows the answer to whether a soul has rejected GOD -- we do not...it is up to each individual to accept what is being offered, it is a free gift of grace through Jesus Christ.
Right, Ok so.......then you are not a Christian, but you pretend to be knowledgeable or authoritative concerning the Bible & the teachings of Jesus Christ -- this we can see is false. A Christian IS a follower of Christ. You Cliffy are a dabbler in many religious & spiritual ideologies-- that does not make you follower of Jesus.I am me. Who are you? To answer your question, I am a follower of the teaching of Jesus, the Buddha, Indigenous peoples, Mother Nature, Life, etc. But I prefer Born Again Pagan. It has a nice ring to it. BTW, I was born into the Catholic religion but I have experienced so much more. You might try trying to understand other perspectives instead of steadfastly believing you belong to the only valid one. It is very restricting and separates you from everybody else in smug self righteousness.
