The u.s. has provided mid east denizens plenty of reason to somehow strike a blow in retaliation and the last 10 years have seen numerous attacks. This guy was primed and as his father stated seeing two men kissing set him off more than likely setting his target. U.S. foreign policy provided the explosive and a homosexual display lit the fuse. That the fbi had his number and he was still able to buy an assault rifle casts a long shadow on $ecurity being secure.
Despite all the chest thumping on security stopping an individual determined to shed blood is next to impossible when military type fire power is as tough to acquire as a hot dog.

helmet which saved the life of police officer who saved the hostages

Mateen's ex-wife was interviewed on tv and said he was mentally unstable. She left him because of his domestic violence. His father said the attack was not motivated by any association with ISIS or AQ. He was just always angry and filled with hate. We will have to see what the police/FBI determine so that we will eventually know if this was a politically motivated terrorist act or a matter of mass violence by a crazed hater.

It was an Islamic Terrorist... not the NRA

Yes he was bisexual and planned on attending the Gay Pride Parade.

Semantics Eagle.

It. Does. Not. Matter. Whether he was an Islamic Terrorist or Christian Terrorist or BobisGod Terrorist.

He got a hold of guns when he shouldn't have been legally able to thanks to the NRA helping to push for ANYONE to get guns, even those investigated by the FBI.

Again, semantics. Dude was Bi, so what? He was going to a gay pride event with all that crap in his car, WTF for?! The only difference right now is that the one in Florida got to get his gun off while the guy in California didn't get that chance.

Both are still Terrorists.

No, it's about him being a Hateful SOB.

Him being Muslim has nothing to do with it.

And in none of your posts did you show any sympathy for the victims. You know, the same thing that slm is calling out mentalfloss for. You used this tragedy as a way to push your agenda. The same as mentalfloss.

Wrong

Then why would nature have made us naturally this way?

Are you saying humans are smarter then ten's of billion of years of evolution?

Smarter then millions of years of trile and error, and results from those events?

Sounds like arrogance too me.

Well. at least there are some people who won't get aids and die from the deliberately contaminated corporate blood supply...
I suppose since the powers that be are the corporations, and don't want to start a war with themselves, they just want war between the peeps, so they can profit, we don't hear about those murders so much.

The threat from ISIS is real. In the last seven months ISIS terrorists have killed people in Paris, France; Brussels, Belgium; San Bernardino, California and now 50 people have been killed, apparently by an ISIS lone wolf killer in Orlando, Florida. ISIS has called upon lone wolf terrorists to attack this month wherever there is a large gathering of people.

We don't want to ban Muslims, or build walls to coward behind, that will let the Terrorists (ISIS) win, however we do need better screening and people coming from Terrorist Sponsored nations to be tacked when they are in the USA..

Also most important better background checks with firearm licenses and limit firearms designed for war and mass killings. Currently people on terrorist watch lists can still buy a gun in the USA, and the NRA have blocked attempts to regulate this at the government level.. At some point common sense laws need to be created to stop this kind of Terrorism and Hate Crimes.

400 years of violence; that is the legacy of the United States of Aggression. Why is it always a surprise when some mentally unstable nut case goes off? There have been 992 mass shootings since Sandy Hook. What is it going to take before people start to realize there is a co-relation? When are Americans going to wake up from their group amnesia and deal with this epidemic?

I'm sure there are people born right here and in the U.S. who are just as if not more dangerous than anyone we are likely to import.

True, the Oklahoma Bomber, Timothy James McVeigh, is a perfect example and this Florida shooter was Born and Raised in New York City.

Why I stated taking mass casualty guns illegal to buy, sure they will never take 100% off the street, but they will curnb the ease which a potential Nut Bar shooter can buy one.

Humans Are equal ?!

...and under Trump, you can all equally watch a Nuke go off in the distance in your country with Trump as President..

Interesting how you find fault in anyone else criticizing the mans grammatical short comings and disability, yet exempt yourself from doing the same thing. Pitiful.

No. I think this ones hypocricy is permanent.

Based on my time observing humans, if there is one thing I've learnt, it's, all humans suffer from some level of arrogance and hypocrisy. Our own righteousness blinds us.
