This ordeal is making the ndp look slimey. One of the ndp mps has used the words 'violently attacked'.
Maybe they should start checking MPs bags before they go into the HOC. I watched a piece on a disturbance in the Chinese Assembly. They were fighting, pushing and shoving. They caught on the camera a woman throwing water from a water bottle on the combatants.
Watched the video again, and what the hell!! I change my view, what was this guy doing on the floor anyway? there can only be one answer; pushing his weight around. Also disturbing, his Lib. crew are all clapping during this show of arrogance, OMG!!
That seems to be a time honoured tradition of MPs over the years. They learn it in kindergarten and need to re-lean the skill to be an MP. Always applaud when your party is doing something no matter what. Yell and boo if its the other party.

Seems pretty clear that Mr Trudeau has some serious issues with women in positions of power.

It's a common condition among people who are used to having their own way all their lives and have never learned to handle adversity. Not a big deal, it will blow over.
Justin needs to admit that he has a problem.. That is the first step to recovery, but like any addict, he will have this problem for the rest of his days
I think he probably already has, hence his profuse apology. I think he's probably in a pretty sharp learning curve right now. It would be good if he has enough humility to go to Stephen Harper to get some advice.

A lot of sour grapes is all it is Cliffy. He's apologized, that should be the end of the matter, no one was physically harmed.

I do believe this was a one-off, Frankie - could be wrong he does have his Daddy's temper - still, I highly doubt the House will see any fisticuffs or flying missiles.
I'll tell you what bothers me most about the entire affair and what still puzzles me. The fact that this PM is the most media savvy PM we have ever had - the lad lives for the limelight and is very adept at manipulating the media to his own advantage and at seemingly every opportunity. So what happened? He had to know that this would become public almost instantaneously and that it would look very bad for his sunny-ways image. Still, he crossed the floor, grabbed a member's elbow, dragged him through his colleagues while elbowing another MP (oh and don't try and tell me that he didn't know he'd elbowed someone. You would have to be insensate not to know you had done so) and without so much as a glance back at the person. It was as if a switch got turned off and a totally different person stepped forth leaving havoc in his wake. Imagine him going off during an important conference with world leaders - just imagine it.
Virtually everyone reaches a point at times when they've had enough and acts impetuously. It's not right but by the same token it's not the end of the world! He's done worse things since he came to power.
Do you really think that he is 'in power'? The Liberals are, but I doubt he's making a lot of decisions.
Seriously, I get the impression that he is being manipulated by people in the shadows. When he offered either the first or second apology, he seemed to have difficulty finding the correct words to express his regret. I am serious when I say that he must have handlers. I suspect he will have a "secretary" with him more often to curtail embarrassing moments like that.
For me, I don't see him accidentally striking Brosseau as the problem. Even Mulcair's attempt to get a rise out of Trudeau was no big thing. Heck, if anything, that was to be expected.
