This has me confused... This statement..."David Richards, a member of the Regina Centre for Inquiry, wants the province to adopt practices that are secular, where there is a distinct separation of church and state. (Dean Gutheil/CBC) " has me bewildered...

Does our National Anthem clearly say GOD KEEP OUR LAND GLORIOUS AND FREE?????? Or have I learned it wrong and been singing it wrong all these 50 plus years? Separate Church and State, When the National Anthem has it combined. Lets look at the US.... "GOD BLESS AMERICA..." Etc... Just curious.....

I don't remember god being mentioned in the anthem. Besides, this country was founded on the murder, attempted genocide of the indigenous peoples and the theft of their land. I really don't think Jesus would have approved.

Britain certainly doesn't have separation of Church and State. Of the 808 members of the House of Lords, 782 are Lords Temporal and 26 are Lords Spiritual. The 26 Lords Spiritual are 26 bishops of the established Church of England (the Presbyterian Church of Scotland and the Anglican churches in Wales and Northern Ireland, which are no longer established churches, are not represented by spiritual peers).

So which God and which Religion should we not keep separate from the state? Or do we accept ALL religions and Gods?

"The Algonquins of Barriere Lake have a traditional territory that spans 10,000 square kilometres. For thousands of years, They have made continuous use of the land. They have never signed a treaty giving up their rights to the land. An estimated $100 million per year in revenues are extracted every year from their territory in the form of logging, hydroelectric dams, and recreational hunting and fishing.
And yet the community lives in third-world conditions..."

I thinks you just made a real good argument why military spending is one of the most importent budget.

I think you just made a good argument why military budget is one of the most importent spending a government needs to consider.

or possibly a decent court system:
"This is the official Court website for the settlement of the Residential Schools Class Action Litigation.
The Residential Schools Settlement has been approved by the Courts"
Indian Residential Schools Settlement - Official Court Website
Of church and state, and their work with children

some actual history books might also be a good investment

That said, with all the globalist invasions of refugees and illegal immigrants, The Christians in Europe and in America are finding out it is their turn to play the indians.
That military budget was just spent creating this problem, and apparantly can not defend against it

I think underestimating the power of your sovereign right is a huge mistake.

I agree. Each time a nation has not protected its sovereignty with a strong army. It's lands have been conquered. I'm not sure I've seen any other outcome. Throughout history.

To expect any other outcome is mental ignorance of history & stupidity.

"There were 11.3 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. in 2014. The population has remained essentially stable for five years, and currently makes up 3.5% of the nation’s population. The number of unauthorized immigrants peaked in 2007 at 12.2 million, when this group was 4% of the U.S. population."

That's a full scale invasion...and an essentially christian one too

U.S. Sheriffs fed up as 25 Americans are killed each day by illegal immigrants
U.S. Sheriffs fed up as 25 Americans are killed each day by illegal immigrants

compared to the time frames of the average US war on whoever ( take vietnam for example), the above is the higher death rate

That proves my point even. The military is not guarding the borders.
If you don't guard your sovereignty. You will be invaded. That is a certainty.

Anyone that expects anything diffrent suffers from mental disillusions of reality.
