Trump rally turns violent: photographer thrown to ground amid protests

A Trump rally at Radford University in Virginia turned ugly on Monday when Christopher Morris, an award-winning photographer with Time magazine, stepped beyond the bounds of the press pen to snap photos of Black Lives Matter protesters being escorted out of the event.

Video footage from the event appears to show Morris being grabbed and thrown to the ground by a member of the US Secret Service, followed by a tussle between the two men. Once Morris was on the ground, he could be seen kicking back to free himself from the agent. He was subsequently escorted out of the event by several officers.

“I stepped 18 inches out of the [press] pen and then he grabbed me by the neck and started choking me and then he slammed me to the ground,” Morris told Reuters on the scene.

Shouldn't mess with the Secret Service.

Racist reporter thinks it is OK to grab a Secret Service Agent by the throat.

Someone seems really upset that a racist photographer wasn't allowed to spit in an African-American Secret Service Agent's face.

Emotions run high at events where negativity is being spewed like a child
spitting pablum. First there is a line that is there for a reason and a shot
from a camera is not worth the events of the incident. Spit on me you have
a problem as well.
More to the point the event does not help Trump. Look at the optics. He is
being touted as a fascist already and an incident with media leads to the
speech on the weekend where Trump gave a veiled threat to media and their
status in society. The negativity can be played out for the Democrats the devil
must be stopped.
In the end the Republican Party must sort out whether they support this guy
stories suggesting he has a warm spot for the KKK is one thing seeing a
photographer or reporter manhandled justified or not is going to portray
violence and negativity and that is not going to help him down the road
In politics it is not the incident that counts its how it can be spun for purpose
