My reading skills are fine. I did not see any posts that suggested Harper was determined to ruin the economy, only your misinterpretation of what was posted.

I did see this. It appears to be jumbled up logic. "If he was sitting back smilling..." I wondered about your professional assessment of his mind and character. I believe you said his sitting back and smiling showed a "sick statistic egotism". I will bow to your professional diagnosis. I am not quite sure what "statistic egotism" actually is though. I'm not a psychologist.

Perhaps someone else can explain it.

as i know it,
money and power controls the world going around,political parties are secondary or lower on the scale of power.
confidence in decsions by any PM on my behalf,is minimal,regardless of party or personality.
I call myself a romantic Liberal,filled with fantasy and hope,nothing more,nothing less.

I'm betting that Harper is relaxing and smiling and watching Trudeau make a fool of himself.
Harper is well off to be out of power during this economic disastrous time.
When conditions are bad the government always gets the blame. Fortunately Trudeau and his band of newbies will take the fall after their 4 years is up regardless of how desperately they try to blame the former government!

I think Mr. Harper is enjoying life,working for his community,which I believe is a higher calling,this beingcommunity service.I think he is enjoying his family,and music.i don't think Mr. Harper is desiring too much these days,laying low,steady and embracing reflection, and in due time,Mr> Harper may surprize us all with his personal developments.

The number of restricted firearms across Canada rose more than 82 per cent while Prime Minister Stephen Harper was in power, with the sharpest increase after the Conservatives formed a majority government.

The increase is found in calculations made by iPolitics from statistics found in several reports of the federal Commissioner of Firearms, which released its 2014 report last month.

One of the biggest increases was in Alberta, where the number of restricted guns rose 140 per cent between 2005 and 2014, the last year for which numbers are available. The slowest rise was in Quebec, where the number of restricted guns rose only 28 per cent over that time period.

Overall, the number of restricted firearms such as semi-automatic rifles and handguns registered in Canada rose from 398,876 in 2005 under former Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin to 726,705 in 2014, the last year for which numbers are available.

Looks like the gun-obsessed are simply adding to their arsenals. No big surprise there. It would be worrying if the number of Canadians owning firearms actually increased, but according to the article it has not.

A very real use is for prospecting... The government acknowledges it

They like to shoot at the shooting range and talk cars, thats their thing... I like to smoke dope and golf thats my thing ...

i have never known about using numbers to inject good decison making,including information auditing,
i have only known numbers to serve agendas of intent and objectives,paying attention to numbers can be distracting,for good outcome it is best to know how those numbers were collected,by whom,and who or what handled those numbersin between.

The definition of a restricted weapon in Canada is f'ed up anyway. Take a standard .22 rifle, dress it up in some after-market cosmetics and suddenly you have a restricted weapon because of the way it looks. The rate of fire hasn't been altered, the muzzle velocity hasn't been altered, just the cosmetic appearance and yet it is now a restricted weapon.


The Libtards and Dippers went nuts after the L'Ecole Polytechnique mass shooting, restricting various firearms simply because they looked scary while ironically not listing the model of rifle that was actually used in the shooting.
