I've just started having problems clicking on a heading on a Google page or clicking to advance the page. When I do the heading "jumps". Anyone else familiar with phenomena?

Northern Ontario,
Try another mouse....
You probably only need to clean your mouse clicker contacts....
Spray some contact cleaner in there....you can get some at "the source"

Don't use the brake cleaner type as it will melt the plastic. If it is a wireless mouse you need a new battery.

Buy another mouse. I change mine every couple of years or so. Mind you I play a lot of games and wear them out quickly.

I too am having issues with my computer. Ever since we updated to Windows 10 the mouse freezes and you can't do anything. Sometimes if you wait 30 - 60 seconds it'll come back; other times it doesn't so I have to re-boot. It is so frustrating. Just to get here, I had to re-boot twice.

Has anyone any idea of why this is happening? Is it Windows 10? Would it be my mouse? (Have cleaned it several times to no avail). I believe (not sure) that if I am in, say CC, and an email comes in, that's when my mouse freezes and for sure when I am accessing something on the I-net that I want to listen to but here's the thing - while it does it often, it doesn't always freeze. I'm ready to throw the damn thing out the "window" pardon the pun!!

HELP!!

Northern Ontario,
It's all good now, Sleepy, a $15 mouse fixed the problem!
I was just about to suggest pulling out and plug back in the usb mouse thingy if a wireless mouse, that sometimes cleans dirty contacts..
Good to see you solved it...PC problems, to me are a lot of trial and errors....
Ooops.... I thought I was answering Dixie

It's not a wireless mouse and re-booting is time consuming and should be unnecessary don't cha think? I'm tempted to go back to Windows 8 for sure as I didn't have this issue.

Northern Ontario,
Are you using edge or explorer?

And trying a new mouse like JLM did is a lot less time consuming than reverting back to the old system if it hasn't been too long and hasn't deleted itself out of the Microsoft .old folder

I have been using a wireless Trackball Mouse for the last three years, very good on batteries, only on my third AA battery and I never shut the sucker off...Find it easier to control when watching an online movie, with the laptop wired to the TV...don't have to move the mouse at all.
Every few months I will get a "freeze" like you describe....what I end up doing is pulling out the usb and plug it back in, take out the battery rub the ends on a rough cloth to get good contacts and voila...
It don't take much to impair 1.5 volt on a battery or 5 volts on a usb.....
