The ones that have more than one holy book are the ones who are lost as far as being able to determine who God is and what will happen in the future and what has happened in the past. Even somebody of your limited ability to read and understand should be able to read Genesis:1-3 and Revelations:20-22 and come away with a basic understanding of who God is.
