And what does Trump have to do with a Bernie Sanders thread?

Idiots ... Lunatics ... Populist Whackos ... That's what passes for political dialog in the United States, these days. Trump and Saunders are the Yin and Yang of a failing nation.

Canada elected snow-boarding Justin

lol

Well, there is a broad consensus in this country with little of the vitreol and acid that is all that seems to be left of U.S. politics. We are a civilized country and if our politics appear extreme on this forum, sometimes, understand that they appear to be rather skewed by the peculiar make-up of this forum.

Now, if you really know anything about Canada, you would understand that Canadians fired a tired, spent government and shifted back to the "other" party that cyclically governs Canada. The two parties philosophies are not very far apart there has been no shift at all, really. Canadians don't like intransigent political radicals of either extreme.

Sorry, but you would need to be slightly gooney to come to the conclusion that Canada "voted for snow-boarding Justin". They voted against the Conservatives.

Thanks for that sanctimonious overbearing response I expected.

I didn't expect you to "get it", anyway.

I should add a hackneyed "lol" as well because I'm cleary dealing with one of "those" dimwits.

Ole Bernie must be doing something right because a few months ago nobody even knew who he was and now the cons are starting hate threads about him. Looks like he's got the Repubs scared or something. Bwahahahaha!

I prefer Sanders over Clinton. My preference over both is None Of The Above.

The idea that the Tories and the Grits are not that far apart ideologically may not be true this time. I was quite surprised during the election campaign to see the Liberals actually to the left of the NDP on many issues. Only time will tell if they stay that way, but it appears Canadians actually elected a New Democrat government in disguise.

Interesting show the other night on TV. Family man in Utah working two jobs to support his family had a tax rate of 30 % while his fellow Mormon politician hero Mitt Romney who is wealthy had a tax rate of 11 %. But wait a minute, they need these breaks so they can be able to create more jobs for folk,,who can pay 30 %.
