Do you expect the kids to babysit themselves while Daddy and Mommy do Prime Minister shyte?

Justin is not the first PM to have kids. Has this ALWAYS been a job benefit or is Justin special? This is the first I have heard of this. When I work, it is not my bosses problem what I do with my kids. My boss is flexible if I have issues but it is not the companies responsibility to provide me child care.

Also, not sure what Justin's annual income is. Expect it is more than $200k. Didn't he pledge to remove child benefits to those people? But I guess not himself. There is a word for that ..... I believe its hypocrite.

But the budget will balance itself.

Decorum mostly ... same role Mrs Harper played or any PM spouse previous to that. It presents a friendly family image. Propaganda, if you will

Curious that propaganda is a state function and not a function of the governing party who benefits.

I ask this sincerely.

What are your thoughts on the nanny issue?

Personally, I don't think it's out of line, other than what he had to say during the electioneering process.

If this is a perk that has been given to previous PMs as well, then this is pretty poor reporting. But it is the CBC so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

While I was working in Enid Oklahoma several years ago I loved watching the jets fly by every day on their exercises. There was an air force base near by . I've always been fascinated by Jet air planes. I began to think though about how much jet fuel must cost and these planes would be flying around all the time. Same with Luke air force Base out in Phoenix. Gotta be millions in fuel costs just to do exercises every day. FFS what's a little child care compared to the other stuff. If I get elected President some day I would hope that one of the perks might be a night out for Mexican food and some nine ball now and then. I'll buy my own beer though.

If this was Harper and a new benefit assigned to him, there would be people on here comparing him to the anti-Christ. But Sunny Ways and the budget will balance itself.

Have you seen anywhere where a nanny is something new? CBC and MF are having a slow news day

I haven't seen anything one way or the other. I am going by the assumption that if it is reported, it is new. If not, it is quite ironic though that he campaigned against child benefits for people in the same tax bracket as himself. But if it is not new, I am flabergassed that CBC did not make a stink about this with Harper.

Can we think of any other world leader who doesn't get similar perks? Does the president of the U.S. pay to live in the Whitehouse? Does he pay for the use of Airforce One? Horsesh-t topick.

Damn CBC. Glad they got a whole bunch more funding so they can bring us more of this hard hitting journalism.

Why. . . why. . . this is an OUTRAGE!

What's more, I'm hearing rumors the Canadian taxpayer is paying Trudeau's rent too! Never before in Canadian history (heh-heh) has such an OUTRAGE been perpetrated on good, Gawd-fearing, Old Stock Canadians!
You didn't have a nanny did you?
