We were told we would have a warmer than usual winter. So far we're running about 4 below normal temps. Yes, we had a ton of fires last summer but since Fall began we've had a ton of rain too. Seems to me like it's kinda balancing itself out. Why are we always the bad guys? I had a Spanish student who said that there are large garbage bins on their streets that everyone dumps whatever into. Then every night, the bins are emptied. No re-cycling. He couldn't see why we had to go to so much trouble. What about China? Millions of people and cars and - again, they do not re-cycle. In the meantime, I now have 3 cans in my kitchen where once only one stood. 1 - re-cyclables 2 - Food waste, 3 - garbage. They pick up food waste once a week. The other two, every other week. Re-cycling is turned into numerous things, food waste into compost, then sold back to us for our gardens! Who knows what they do with what they refer to as garbage! We have less people, less vehicles than lots of other countries. Gov't has closed down most of our refineries (if not all) and while China still mines coal, everyone wants our mines closed. How are we the bad guys all the time?
