run a googly - there's no shortage of details on current emission reduction initiatives China has enacted and continues to bring forward. Dealing with rapid industrialization is a most pressing concern to the Chinese government... whether you're willing to accept that fact or not.

It's not a fact, it's B.S, but you are welcome to take the word of the Country who executes prisoners and harvests their organs.

I mean, why would they lie?

Nice avatar, by the way. Is that from your Jack Bank? :)

What has that to do with when industrial expansion started in China ?

seriously? Do you not equate increased emissions within increased industrialization? The graphic clearly outlines the increasing emissions, by timeline... you can't make the association? Really?

Which is reason #1 this vacation trip to Paris by the world leaders is destined to be a failure from the get go.

there's an expectation the recent U.S.- China emissions reduction agreement will set the tone for possible binding level agreement. Both the U.S. and China included facets of that recent agreement as a part of their INDC submissions to COP 21. Your pent-up failure anticipation may be rewarded... but it will have little to do with your seizing on to the statement about 'no new concessions expected'.

there are means for external monitoring of any nations emission levels... more pointedly, as a part of COP agreements, monitoring and verification are paramount principles and requirements. There is no, there will be no ability by any country to subvert emission monitoring and results. Details on monitoring and verification are readily available from UNFCCC and 3rd party outlets... your choice if you're willing to extend beyond your current lack of knowledge in this regard.

The TPP will make any ideas on a reduction of pollution, whether air or water, a moot point......
