The Turks have showed thier hand. The implications are great. Erdogan is leaning on his election victory heavily. This could sour his position domesticly in very bad ways. Now that he's done this maybe he'll be at the Kurds harder. Anyway Russia will not take the bait IMO. If Russia does decide to retaliate I can see a lot of nice ships burning in the Mediterranean sea in the future. Maybe the Turks will get a stern rebuke from thier allies. All out war seems inevitable.

Thanks to Canadians showing you how to attack Germany's fortified positions ay Vimy Ridge .

No. I don't have a crystal ball, mate, and neither were people able to predict in WWII when the Russians and British would defeat the Nazis.
Again thanks to Canadian sappers showing the way in Italy . And doing the heavy lifting in northern Europe .
Remember the Germans abandoning Dieppe at the Canadian approach .

The Turks have always been tough. Not super-skilled, but tough.

Back in the day, they used to like to send a couple of F-84s out over the Black Sea, heading for the USSR. After a while, the Soviets would paint 'em, and scramble a couple of MiG-23s to intercept. The Turks had it figured out exactly where they needed to turn to get back to Turkey before the Floggers caught up. They'd get right down on the deck and beat feet for Turkey, with the Floggers in hot pursuit. They'd get to Turkey and pop up over the cliffs on the north shore. Half the time the Floggers would follow, into Turkish airspace, and find. . .

Half the Turkish Air Force waiting for them.

They never shot the Sovs down, but they loved scaring the hell out of 'em.

Heh. Looks like Blackleaf has joined the Putin Fanboy Club.

Well, he's in good company (for him). I'm sure Blackleaf, Boomster, darkbeaver, and MHz will have fun sitting around mooning over Putin.
Into the valley of death rode the 500 .

No. The Americans were.

Course I am. Unlike you I'm on the Russians' side in this war against ISIS.

Actually, the British whipped the Turks' (Ottomans') **** during the Great War and dismantled the Ottoman Empire. Go and do your research. The British Empire defeated the Ottoman Empire.
Was that before or after they used the Anzac's as cannon fodder at Gallopole ?

Comic books sources. Links to luneys. Your education is showing TB. That is essentially the same alligations made by the Russian high command against the US weeks ago. These clown media organizations aren't even trying to be original, presstitutes, every one.

Perhaps the Russians better learn to respect borders now.

Yes they should, do you advocate they follow the American example of this international respect for national boundrys?

Odd how it made it back to Syria.
I guess this supersonic bombers that circled Europe before dropping their loads is a bit out of NATO's league.

Somebody seems to be fibbing.

"The plane was located at an altitude of 6,000 meters [approximately 19,600 feet]. The fate of the pilots is being determined. According to the preliminary data, the pilots were able to eject. The circumstances of the plane's crash are under investigation. The Russian Ministry of Defense notes that during the flight the plane stayed strictly within Syrian airspace and the flight was logged," the statement read.
Two Turkish residents were injured by falling debris from the downed Russian bomber, Ulusal TV channel reports.

I think the Turk have committed a mistake; they need not create an enemy for themselves.
It might have been enough to tell the Russian that their planes came inside their borders, and that's it. Or in the most they might have protested and that's it; it would have been enough.

Except that they've already been protesting Russian incursions into their territory for quite some time now.

Didn't know that, didja?

Remember, the way things are going it is the Russians who will defeat ISIS, just as it was they and the British who defeated the Nazis, whilst the Western world is led by lily-livered Hussein Obama who is proving impotent in the wake of the ISIS threat.

The Yanks on here are just jealous that Putin is taking the fight to ISIS whilst their Muzzie president is hardly doing a thing.

Go on, Vladimir!

The briddish defeated the Nazis? When the US and Canada entered WW2 you were huddled on a little rock in the north atlantic begging for food.
