too bad the only sites that carried were 3 and the rest were twitter, reddit, tumblr tweeint, forwarding, and posting the same single source.

Not one news agency. Not even faux, not BBC, not CNN, not any local news agency either.

well actually

Three suicide bombs targeted spots around the national stadium Stade de France, north of the capital, where French President Hollande was watching an exhibition soccer match between the French and German national teams.

He was where they hit. His house maybe more secure, but clearly his outings aren't.

Maybe this will have politicians rethinking the vetting process. I don't think that we are going to be able to stop the influx of refugees, unless we shut down all boarders to any country that is not muslim gov't run and deport every Syrian, Iraqi etc muslim trying to cross borders.

It would be a very sad day if it came down to a reality whereby muslims had major travel restrictions placed on them because of muslim extremism.

But if they keep escalating their attacks, this will have to be the end result. Non muslims will not put up with it. That's the extreme end of the situation, mind you.

I hear where you're coming from. With the current situation in Paris, the world is not going to be so open armed about male muslims in their countries, communities, neighbourhoods.

This will create little pockets. They'll be resentful, we'll be resentful. It's shaping up to be a very nasty world mess and ISIS seems to be hell bent on making it come to that. That or they've been inbreeding for so long that they are unable to see the end result of their ways.

Non muslims won't put up with it. Some might. The majority won't. This is not about religious freedom. Or "bigotry" it's becoming a matter of safety. Globally.

I had hoped that things would work out and the terrorists wouldn't do what they ARE doing. I dislike having to think defensively against people. Especially when there are innocents amongst the crowd. this type of religious fervour seems to make it impossible to live with positivity.

If anyone wants to open his home to refugees they should do it. But I think a non-Muslim family would have some difficulties accommodating a Muslim family. No pork or alcohol, only what the Muslims consider proper. Probably a language barrier. I'm not sure a Muslim family would even want to live in a non-Muslim home.

It would probably be better if a Muslim country accepted them!

We haven't heard much about Muslim countries accepting refugees, have we? Turkey seems to have been bearing the brunt of it.
We also don't hear of China, Russia, India, Taiwan, Korea, Mexico, Japan, or any South American countries opening their doors. Why do you suppose that is?

why is that? I was wondering about that the other morning.

I understand why xenophobic countries don't. But the rest?

I would imagine there are two good reasons:
1) They have their hands full looking after their own citizens and care more about that than they do about the citizens of some other nation. As they rightly should!
2) They are smart enough to avoid what is happening in Muslim-welcome countries to avoid the problem themselves.

My guess would be they are possibly a little smarter than Trudeau. There's nothing wrong with accepting a few refugees, but 25,000 on the doorstep in one fell swoop!!! Insanity. Can't say it enough!

A lot of truth in that statement, Boom Boom!

Raed bin Khaled Grimly, the Saudi Ambassador to Rome, supported his country in a statement saying that as many as 500,000 Syrians are living in Saudi Arabia and benefitting from free healthcare and education via the country's work residency program. Elsewhere, the government has claimed that it has taken in 2.5 million Syrians since the beginning of the conflict. It should be noted, however, that Françoise de Bel-Air of the Migration Policy Centre said that official population figures from Saudi Arabia's Central Department of Statistics did not reflect the actual number of refugees entering the country.

The reason it's difficult to establish just how many refugees are being hosted by countries in the GCC is because they do not officially recognize incoming asylum-seekers as refugees. Since the GCC is not a signatory of the United Nations' 1951 Refugee Convention, they are not bound by law to provide these people with the standard treatment and rights typically afforded those seeking refuge in a new country.

Firstly, what an unfortunate name that ambassador to Rome has! Grimly. Sheesh!

The GCC are saying they have many refugees from Syria and yet cause they don't keep track the same way it can't be proven. How'd they keep 'em out? The USA can't keep people out that they want to. I'm thinking that Syrians are maybe not wanting to go there so much.

I can understand why the refugees don't want to go to China too. Work camps sound rather horrific.

Liberals want them here because they know they will not be in their neighborhoods.

I think we should bring in what we reasonably can, but in Canada our welfare rates for deserving people are abysmal and haven't been raised in close to 10 years, so I think the first thing that should happen here is raise our rates by about 40%. Then and only then we should start letting in closely screened applicants a dozen at a time. Artificial borders should not stand in the way of helping our fellow man.

Give them all a free phone with GPS tracking. It won't be long before before you will know who is who and put the bad apples in prison and let some Indians out.
