Open those doors wide and don't be fear mongers!

Falling ladders are far more dangerous.

Really, Eagle.................hell why not just throw all caution to the wind and make................40,000 or 50,000........no worries here.

Flossy would agree! He's so excited.

Besides, the refugee advocates assure us they are all needy families and orphans. All of them want to assimilate and learn French and English and be the best Canadian citizens.

Again... what could possibly go wrong?

The people making the decisions to import them (politicians) are not the ones that have to live among them. Yet they gain so much good publicity from main stream media for their PC policies, and they gain more voters.

The citizens of the countries being populated (invaded) aren't going to do anything because, basically, people will not revolt unless they have no job/food/house and there's nothing left to lose.

have a sunny day.

Running numbers.

Following the Paris attacks and prior to Trudeau's remarks, I fully expect him to double down on his promise of 25 thousand refugees before Christmas.

So, the numbers. 25,000 refugees that we're promised by Mr. Goodale will be properly vetted. (interview at 20:00 mark) Now, I'm no doctor or security professional so these are made-up assumptions, but they probably aren't -too- far out.

Medical check, let's call it two hours per refugee for a somewhat detailed exam.

Security check, I'm going to guess at eight hours per refugee.

25k * 2 hours / 24 hours (24/7 baby) = 2,083 days

25k * 8 hours / 24 hours = 8,333 days

So in order to get the checks done before Christmas (42 days) CSIS will need 200 people working 24/7 (no sleep) on security checks and 40 doctors to check health.

Good luck with that.

As if we don't have enough problems, why would we add 25,000 more. Even if they were refugees that would make a difference. To open your doors to people that have had no security tests, are going to be a burden on our health system. The way that it is being set up, to send them out on their own, after a year, is also cruel, it will probably turn out that they will live in little pockets in which they will speak their own language making it impossible to go out and get jobs as the government intends.to clarify, I feel for those who are true refugees. I am afraid that a majority think that they have found the golden chocolate bar.
Sorry if this makes little, or no sense, woke up very early this morning,

Well wasn't that a little prophetic.

too bad the only sites that carried were 3 and the rest were twitter, reddit, tumblr tweeint, forwarding, and posting the same single source.

Not one news agency. Not even faux, not BBC, not CNN, not any local news agency either.

well actually

Three suicide bombs targeted spots around the national stadium Stade de France, north of the capital, where French President Hollande was watching an exhibition soccer match between the French and German national teams.

He was where they hit. His house maybe more secure, but clearly his outings aren't.

Maybe this will have politicians rethinking the vetting process. I don't think that we are going to be able to stop the influx of refugees, unless we shut down all boarders to any country that is not muslim gov't run and deport every Syrian, Iraqi etc muslim trying to cross borders.

It would be a very sad day if it came down to a reality whereby muslims had major travel restrictions placed on them because of muslim extremism.

But if they keep escalating their attacks, this will have to be the end result. Non muslims will not put up with it. That's the extreme end of the situation, mind you.

I hear where you're coming from. With the current situation in Paris, the world is not going to be so open armed about male muslims in their countries, communities, neighbourhoods.

This will create little pockets. They'll be resentful, we'll be resentful. It's shaping up to be a very nasty world mess and ISIS seems to be hell bent on making it come to that. That or they've been inbreeding for so long that they are unable to see the end result of their ways.

Non muslims won't put up with it. Some might. The majority won't. This is not about religious freedom. Or "bigotry" it's becoming a matter of safety. Globally.

I had hoped that things would work out and the terrorists wouldn't do what they ARE doing. I dislike having to think defensively against people. Especially when there are innocents amongst the crowd. this type of religious fervour seems to make it impossible to live with positivity.

Russia tourism will be directed towards Crimea. We still have the West Coast as being the most 'tropical' so it would be like hosting the Olympics every year for parts of her. That's not a fate worse than death.

If anyone wants to open his home to refugees they should do it. But I think a non-Muslim family would have some difficulties accommodating a Muslim family. No pork or alcohol, only what the Muslims consider proper. Probably a language barrier. I'm not sure a Muslim family would even want to live in a non-Muslim home.
