... And your qualifications are?

Mind you, there's nothing stopping you from digging deep in your own pockets and writing a handful of cheques... Have you done that or are you more of a talk the talk but can't walk the walk kinda guy?

I didn't claim to be A) a climate scientist or B) know the cause of planetary warming. It is warming, though and it has done so steadily for 12,000 straight years. If you don't get that part, you are a seriously stunned bunny.

What is so offensive about what was done is shutting down experiments that were not going to yield the official Government conclusion or to muzzle any government employee who DARES to disagree with a "scientific" conclusion reached by a tight little group of jerkwater politicians who are receiving largesse (such as political contributions) from the oil industry.

Personally, I am NOT absolutely certain that human activity is changing our climate. I would imagine though, as our population continues to grow geometrically, that we will eventually.

What that previous government did ( mostly, what the PMO "Kremlin" did) was fascist, totalitarian illegal, immoral, un-Christian, unscientific, antisocial, unacceptable and it seems to be a good thing that they have been run out of Ottawa.I am a Conservative supporter and I am deeply ashamed of that part of their time in power. We will return with something far better, next time.

P.S, Capt'n, You are a real pr!ck.

This environmental destruction is a sign of a failed economic system.

Artificial islands that leads to beach erosion all so rich people and jack each other off in skyscrapers? You want to find a better example maybe.

You're talking to a real dumb person and better effort would be spent arguing with a flat Earther, tbh.

Yes they're clearing digging underground with heavy equipment.
erm Nope. Open-pit mining is surface mining hence the name "open-pit". Underground mining is like this:

because it is actually under the surface.
Go back to school.

That wasn't me. Regardless, you're not making a good point (surprise).
meh so it was not you - it was another idealistic, mush-brained fool. You kind of all look alike.

What the hell is the opposite of man screwing man. And a more accurate saying would be - Capitalism is wealthy class screwing with the poor class.
You missed the point of the comment again. That is not a surprise.

Specifically what Galbraith said was, "In communism, man exploits man. In capitalism, it's the reverse". (Do not make me get out the crayons for you. My grandkid needs them). It means that in whichever ideology you choose, humans exploit humans.

An example like communist rulers living in palaces while their populaces live in hovels?

Really? You think the Earth is flat?
wow

Well, perhaps if you used your lonely, little brain cell for something other than mental masturbation, I would not have to treat you like an amoeba.

OTTAWA - PM Justin Trudeau is reconsidering unmuzzling Canada’s scientists after a one-sided conversation about a rare New Zealand seaweed went on for more than 180 minutes.

“Listen, I’m truly, sincerely thankful for your hard work and I cannot wait to see where this research takes you, but this needs to stop,” said Trudeau, interrupting a world-renowned expert in Gelidium longipes research. “I get it. I got it 2 hours ago. It’s seaweed, but it’s slightly less common than the usual seaweed.”

After repealing the Harper government’s policy of scientific censorship, Trudeau may now again force Canada’s federally funded scientists to stop talking about their research that he’s sure is very interesting but is not the only topic of conversation in the world.

“I don’t care. Well, I do care but not right now,” explained Trudeau to the marine botanist. “It’s just that this is a very nice cocktail reception with a lot of very interesting people. I’ll look up your research later. Yes, I know it’s named Gelidium longipes. Trust me, I don’t think I’ll ever forget.”

Trudeau said that while he did decide to let scientists speak freely once again it was not necessarily an invitation to seek him out. In fact, memos sent out to federal scientists earlier this week specifically stated that the new policy comes with the expectation that nobody is going to be a big nerd about it.

“If you’ve got a giant laser or a fish that, I don’t know, speaks fluent French then, yes, please, let’s have a conversation,” said Trudeau. “But to every researcher with an asthmatic mouse or whatever let me be absolutely clear: things can go back to the way they were.”

At press time, the federal government had mandated that all scientists view one new film a week and at least have a passing interest in music.

Now Glacier, you need to put a link to the source which I presume is the Onion or some such spoof rag.
