We all know it is doomed to failure. It is an achievable goal and the Libs will be able to blame the failure on the Conservatives because they surely will be out of power before the deadline is up.

It's just like the socialist gvt solution to balancing a budget.... Wait til they are voted out and get a Conservative gvt to do it

It is not possible. Some people want to be homeless. There already is welfare, food lines and shelters for homeless people who want to change their lifestyle. Any money they get will be spent on drugs or alcohol and they will continue to be homeless.
Free housing? Is that what they plan to provide? Most programs to supply free or low cost housing have been a disaster. They are impossible to maintain. The residents who take advantage of those programs wreck the housing.

You two do realize that saying there's no homeless problem in Cuba or Jordan doesn't mean there are no homeless people, right? Cuba has 11.2 million people with 3 million homes and 3.7 people per house. The problem stems from the quality of housing. Approximately 17% of Cuba's housing is considered to be "poor" or worse. Those homes don't have things like electricity or running water. They are old and had poor construction standards when they were built.

As an example, when I was in Jamaica I saw people living in those tiny corrugated tin shacks. Technically they had "homes" but one could just as easily consider them to be homeless.

Jordan OTOH, despite being a muslim country is also fairly progressive. Their program to house homeless people is head and shoulders above anything any govt in the US or Canada has done.

Of course the first thing Wynne will need to do is end Toronto's public housing nonsense. Several public housing units in Toronto have been turned into ethnic and religious enclaves. These units aren't handed out based on need but rather what particular ethnic or religious group you belong to.

free alochol, free crack, heroin, pot, meth, mdma, pills and cigarettes too?

that is why they are homeless.
You sir, are one ignorant prick. The main cause of homelessness is mental health issues. And in Ontario, the Liberals have pretty much killed all govt funding of mental health programs for adults, even for those on ODSP.

Cuba's problems stem from the economic blockage by the leading imperialist power, America. An impact amounting to over a trillion dollars for Cuba.

That's socialism? Looks like Capitalism.

The main cause of homelessness is capitalism, and poor mental health is largely related to the capitalist society.

When America steals all the capital of the world, it kind of makes you reliant upon them, especially third world countries.

But it is socialism.
A clear indication wealthy class vs an oppressed poor class, that's capitalism.

Cuba has been begging us for years to lift the embargo.

Now we shall flood their cities with our tourists.

Just wait until US tourists hit the beaches. The Castro's will wish they never crawled to Obama begging.

Odd that the homeless rate increases as jobs become more and more scarce isn't it?
Odd how you translated "main reason" to mean the "only reason", isn't it? The simple fact is, for decades the primary cause of homelessness in North America has been mental illness. Employment rates are variable whereas mental health issues don't go up and down with the vagaries of an economy.

Wanna stop homelessness? In a lot of cases all you have to do is get rid of the all the extras charged on a hydro bill and Walkerton overkill rules on well water so people can stay in their homes
