We don't have the percentage vote based on these seat counts but it's certainly more than Harper's majority.

One other thing to consider is that both NDP and Liberal are progressive, and so that was my point and not that it is exclusive to the Liberal party.

Canadians will not buy good economic policy at the cost of social conservatism.

We place higher value on diversity and inclusiveness over $$$

And on your last point on proportional representation, I agree with JLM that this will not be an easy movement for the Liberals. Maybe the NDP, but this is one of the points I will gladly dole out the criticism of Trudeau if they are laggards on it.

Hmmmm.... did the dog catch the bus Flossy?

So this is the highest voter turnout in 20 years.

The true Canada has revealed itself and it certainly isn't Conservative.

Now we just need that sweet Democrat landslide in the U.S. and we are well on are way to a brave new world.

Looks like a President Bernie Sanders in the works.

There must be something to blame him for already. Oil prices went down a little. He has completely screwed up the oil patch!

K, now what you need to do is start calling JT a Kenyan Muslim socialist and demanding his long-form birth certificate.

Well it worked sooo well for you guys. :p

Excellent! With all the trillions we spent (read: borrowed) for "Homeland Security," we need SOME action.

So far rightwing terrorists have killed more Americans than Islamic terrorists since 2001.

Yet for some reason we aren't liberating Alabama. Go figure.
Alabama has zero geo-political value and not much for resources, unless you're a fan of jambalaya and gumbo.

The economy is good
the scandals - all 3 parties had them
the destruction of our rights?? What destruction? Nothing has changed for 99.99% of Canadians so what the hell are you talking about?

Dixie, I don't understand how you can have 'Libertarian' in your avatar yet appear to support C-51. The 2 just do not go together.

I guess we are going to have to face the facts and adjust our thinking a little. I think the decent thing to do would be to give him a week before we start ragging on him. :)

I'm not sure about Libertarian, but C-51 just makes perfect sense (especially now that we will be importing 25,000 refugees before New Years)

Most likely. And once you get rid of those dream killing immigration laws and racist voter ID laws you will be well on your way to becoming a liberal country like the US is.
