Where Is Joe Oliver? Yesterday when the GNP numbers came out each of the political leaders put their own particular spin on them. The Liberals and NDP had their finance critics also comment. (Goodale and Thompson) but the Canadian Governments Finance Minister was glaringly absent. You would think that the Finance Minister would have something to say about the issue and should have something to say about the issue.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if most if not all cabinet ministers would find this campaign period an ideal time to take their annual vacation.

Is it possible that Harper told his members that he (Harper) would be the sole spokesman and everyone else was to keep their mouth shut. If I was Harper I might use that tactic to save possible embarrassment. :)

The media has already reported that the Conservatives have been advised to avoid face to face campaigning or basically just avoid people altogether.

That, I can see! Whenever one speaks politically, I would say 10 chances to one whatever is said is going to be viewed or interpreted in a poor light, resulting in peoples' perceptions being down graded. It's a lose, lose situation.

I could believe that the Conservatives are only allowing Harper to comment if they hadn't sent Jason Kenny out last weekend to comment on the possibility of a technical recession and he's the Minister of Defense.

Is Jason the Deputy Prime Minister?

What difference would that make to a leftard? Most of them barely know how our political system works. They all think they can vote Harper out.

Upon checking on the matter I've found out Harper has never had a Deputy P.M. I hope there's not too many but for those who are confused about the voting procedure, only those people living in Harper's Calgary constituency have the ability to vote him out.

do you really think he'd stick around after losing the Prime Minister's job. All those big name Conservative members who resign before the election call would be disappointed if he stuck around.

Nope, why would he? Since the largest demographic to vote is the seniors (who mostly qualify for the income splitting), I'd be very surprised if he didn't win the election.

The muzzle is key for the Conservatives
Too Late!

Old people are voting for the Conservatives or people of geographic regions,if Canadians were smart they will take a mindful thought to this.
