You almost nailed it. Burn your flat tires for both home enjoyment and SO2 to keep on keeping on.
There won't be too many of them without the oilsands. Unless you count government employees.
This is actually the dippers biggest problem with oilsands. Not enough government jobs created.
Killing oilsands means killing hundreds of thousands of trade unionist jobs and apprenticeship training.
3 million bbl a day by 2025 doesn't fall from the sky.
You need to be a little more clear on this.. The proposal is to kill oilsands jobs in Alberta but not the jobs in Venezuela in their oilsands where Ontarians get a big chunk of their products from
NDP does not represent the rights and desires of unionized or non unionized workers unless they belong to a government union.
There was never any doubt in anybody's mind in this forum, that you would.....
I once Kiboshed a motion made undoubtedly at the request of the union president, because a union president can't make a motion to donate to the local NDP party, my objection was, that since not every member voted NDP, that it was unfair to them...
The motion didn't pass and the Union president hated me for the longest time afterwards...
I had this discussion with our union prez and business manager last year. They are in a bit of a quandary over it since they know I am right.Their position is that the other parties(BC Liberals) and their main supporters are anti union. I said it was our job to prove that union labour is the better choice for quality and price.
